In this video, I will be taking you on an adventure in France and explore an abandoned Fuedal
castle that dates back to the 16th century & was once owned by Louis XV the King of France in
1740. The castle has been remodeled many times and lived in by very noble families and was
once more so a castle but in the 19th century, it was built in the troubadour style that you see
today. Inside you will find unique gothic architecture that is rarely seen on the channel and the
crazy thing is, everything is still left inside from the last family! Unfortunately, nothing is really
known about its modern-day history, but rumors say it was lived by a wealthy family and the
My Father passed away in a tragic accident in the early 2000s. The wife and his kids eventually got
inheritance money and moved out to a new home in a different country. The property is being
watched by his kids but has neglected it for many years because they couldn't deal with the
loss of their Father.

People used to use Chamber Pots as in the night they did not want to use an 'out house, or place to go to bathroom outside and used during the day at one time" or a bathroom too far especially if children Great tour. Quite a lovely Chateau!

And the architecture of that mansion is incredible! That fireplace with the statues and all that carving is magnificent! Nothing is made like it used to be anymore. Oh those beautiful horses will haunt me forever. I so wish I had money to rescue them. It's so unfair they have to live like that. 😭😢😨

We see the horses running free as tragic, but, they may actually love the freedom. It looks as if there is a lot of countryside for them to roam. They are beautiful.

I so love the peaceful vibe this casle gives especially while hearing the birds shirping outside while you tour inside. You really do a great job in this field and I'm so glad I've found your channel Steve 😭 I'm glad to know that there are people like you who gave importance to the story and history of these abandoned places. Thank you for restoring the beautiful memory this houses/castles once have 🥺

One thing I noticed about this place is it seemed that those first few bedrooms you went through were frozen in time from the early 20th century. While the later bedrooms looked like they had been used more recently, because the clothing and personal items looked more contemporary. I'm guessing if there were only a few people living there last, they'd have no need for use of all the rooms, so I could see them just leaving them as little museums. Re: chamber pots: They weren't just for elderly or sick people like you think of similar things today. They were used because there was no indoor plumbing yet and/or there were very few bathrooms when indoor plumbing was introduced. They'd have pots so they wouldn't have to get up and walk far through the dark castle in the middle of the night to get to the bathroom. They were actually items of luxury.

Wow, what an amazing place. It does look a bit ransacked, but there is still so much there to look at. That fireplace is unbelievable. It's been quite some time since I've watched one of your videos, but I do watch a few from time to time. I'm really glad I had a chance to look at this one, because it is definitely a house I haven't seen film before. There was just so much to see!!!

Wow does the family have any idea how valuable some of the stuff there is. There could also be rare books or artwork. That is a crime to leave that stuff to rot. I noticed everywhere you walked there were not squeaky floors. The house is still very sound. Good builders those days. Someone should buy it and restore it, since its so historical.

🌹🌹🌹Steve, the painting in the red room was so beautiful! I noticed in a hall an electric light switch was covered with wallpaper matching the wallpaper on the wall around it, a real sign of great taste. The face you showed carved in the center of the fireplace surround--incredible!! So lifelike!! I could look at it for a very long time!! Thanks again, Steve! Great find and tour. Those kids better snap out of it. It's been 20 Years now. The value of property has gone up and if it deteriorates ,ceiling, flooring , mold will be a mess and ruin the historic pictures left there. Those big negatives were amazing for even myself who studied and practiced developing black and white film from 35mm cameras in 80s. Those you saw were huge negatives. Looks like they were on glass. The wild horses 🐎 👍

This castle is absolutely gorgeous. Hope that the family gets better from loosing their father l the historical history of the people who lived here alone makes the castle so special. If there's someone doing the grounds he should have the castle locked up and auction off the beautiful antiques and pictures. There all so amazing.. why let your loss of your dad. Make it so bad to save the castle or sell it. Before it just rots away. That'd be so awful. Ughhhh I get crazy when you see all these beautiful antiques and pictures pictures of your family rot away. They should have the historical society come to register the castle. And save it
