That’s an insane quote. The actual Ferrari software for dealers cost around 60.000. They charge you 1/6 of that and come with some excuse to charge you for original parts.

Steve, I hope you learned your lesson. Never accept a California car without the current smog to get it registered. It is the sellers responsibility to provide that no matter what. You can still go back on him for the cost to make it smog legal. Are you on the way to Montana to register it there?

It's possible that the shops don't have the latest firmware to properly do the reset, that's happen with two cars I've had. Can you find a engine computer from a salvage company and drop it in?

昔は、クルマのエンジニアと言うとパーツの故障を修理することも含まれていたようでしたが 今は、故障を修理するより交換したほうが金額的に安上がりだったりするので チェンジニアとなってきたみたいです パーツ内部の構造が複雑になり修理しようにも手が出せない。からと聞いたことがあります フェラーリのブランド料も含まれた金額かもしれませんけど クルマの性能を維持することを考えた時に フェラーリの純正品なら納得するしかないのかも知れませんが 走るうえで、重要なパーツとなればパーツ選びも慎重になって当然 フェラーリ。ということで 高い授業料となりそうですけど 今回の事は、次に活かせるはずと思います

Mine is not a Ferrari but I feel your pain. I was just talking with yet another smog guy about having my ECU reflashed for a similar issue today. Probably 1,000 mile and cannot get all ECU monitors to set. I refuse to see the BAR, but am all stock on my drivetrain as well. Its so bad, I am thinking about out of stating my toys once the issue is resolved.
