Both Wayne and Russi did such a phenomenal job carrying on Walt Disney's legacy by voicing Mickey and Minnie for him.

I love the fact that they voiced Mickey and Minnie, but were also married. I always thought that was the sweetest thing. And the first voice was the composer Carl W. Stalling who went on to work with Merrie Melodies. The cartoon was called The Karnival Kid.

Carl Stalling was technically the first Mickey. He was a composer on the Mickey Cartoons and was buried at Hollywood Forever.

hello Steve.... trivia: Walt Disney ancestors came from a place called Isney, France. The D was like this, d'Isney to show that someone came from Isney, France. Also Walt's father moved around a lot, dragged Walt's mother and the kids all over America . He had a lot of failed business adventures, including a citrus groove in Florida. I think Walt was in Missouri drawing farm animals when he came up with a very beloved cartoon, a rabbit(?) I think. After WW 1 Walt worked for a company as an artist and used his beloved rabbit(?) On a project but he lost all legal right to his own creation with that company. Therefore when he made Mickey Mouse( Steamboat Willie), he had an ironclad grip on all rights to him.And kept Mickey and all other creations and all the money for himself.......As a girl in n the 1950's , I lived the idea of Disneyland, but never got to go. And sure don't want to go to Florida ,to Disney world. Too, too many ppl.✌️💕

@@TheGraveyardChannel I thank I read a bio for Walt Disney about twenty years ago. That was also where I read about the "Snow White Orgy".Where after the long and hard work of making the Snow White animated movie. Walt booked a weekend at a resort for all the employees and their spouses(families?). Well...some got drunk and many let loose that weekend. So when they got back to work there were quite a few averted eyes. Maybe even some divorces. Walt was not pleased . I wish I knew the name of the books author. Would like to read it again. ✌️💕 And especially🖖

I understood that their names are pronounced Wayne ALL-wine and ROO-si Taylor. For a considerable time they were both performers in George Probert's Monrovia Old Time Jazz Band. Probert was a music editor who played in the Firehouse Five Plus Two (made up of Disney animators) and used Wayne on drums while Russi sang. They were both exceptional entertainers and musicians as well as very nice people. At the time only a few people knew they were married and did the voices (pre-Simpsons).

Walt was first in 1928, THEN Carl Sterling in 19 29. That was the Hot Dog Hot Dog one. It was titled 'The Karnival'. Then in 1934 Clarence Nash voiced in The Dog Napper, in 1938 it was Joe Twerp who voiced for The Mickey Mouse Theater On The Air, Walt D. still did his voice for many films. Then in 1948 Jimmy Macdonald voiced him until 1977. But in 1954 Stan Treberg voiced for Mickey Mouse Birthday Party. In 1974 Alan Young voiced for A Christmas Carol. From 1983 to 2009 was Wayne Alwine, also at the same time Les Perkins voiced for MICKEY on DTV Romancin 1986. And now there are 2 again simotainiously Bret Irwin and Chris Diamantopoulas. My dad was a hell of an artist and was offered a job by Walt Disney when he was young. But to him it was a hobby something he just enjoyed, but he liked driving a truck and courting my mom more, so he turned it down. He died before W. D. at the age of 40 in 1966. According to the person who is Director of PS Cemetery District, whom sold me my space a WWM, it is illegal to scatter human asses. She said that although people do it and get away with it people usually don't get prosecuted for it. Another thing she told me was that it is also illegal to mix human ashes. My brother and sister in law were to be mixed and scattered into the Santa Barbara channel. I am assuming that was done.

Carl W. Stalling also voiced Mickey Mouse in 1929

The First Mickey Mouse voice was Carl W Staling in Disney's The Carnival Kid in 1929. Staling went on to score for the Looney Toones cartoons for Warner Bros. Staling and Disney met & worked together at the Laugh O Gram studio in Kansas City. Walt did Mickey;s voice in Steamboat Willy before Jimmy McDonald and Wayne Allwine rook over the role in the decades to come. Jimmy said to wayne Remember kid you're filling in for the boss. Check out the Mickey Mouse 90th birthday video from Hollywood Graveyard on KZbin. Nikki

So I found that Walt created Mickey in 1929 and mickeys’ first words were “Hot dogs” in the cartoon the Karnival Kid also in 1929, but nothing about who voiced Mickey. My guess is that it was Walt, but who knows. Fun vlog.

@00:30 Me, too. I signed up with a national company that I do not recommend (so no name mentioned here) and my bits will be scattered in a national forest in CO. I like forests.
