Props for the artists (good and bad) who made the effort to put their music out there
@subtlehills38442 жыл бұрын
No disrespect, but I can't fully agree. Props to the good ones, and even the ones who aren't there yet, but are trying. But, no props to the ones who are intentionally adding to the sea of garbage, and are able to simply because they can afford to pay to join a distributor.

@@GenericThomas Thumbs up. I don't actually remember much about this video and why it set me off other than the poop "song". In all honesty, maybe it's subjective, but that's a big maybe. There is a time and place to be grateful, understanding, patient, etc... But, there is also a time to call bullshit. Not everything that is recorded deserves "props". Am I jealous that the poop song person was making $500/month because a famous artist shouted them out? Maybe, probably? Idk if you're an artist or a musician but, yes, after dedicating decades to a craft because you just really love it-it's hard to see/hear that somebody is making real money making garbage. I am open to quirky/funny music and art, and I have some understanding/respect when it comes to abstract and minimalism, but not everything deserves props. As I am typing this, I look down at my arm and think if I take an inkpen and draw curly cues all of the way down the entire length of it-I can call that art or expression and the world would laugh and pay no attention-and rightfully so. But, if a famous person shouts it out-it "could" go viral. Maybe it won't, but it could. No-it's not all about money and maybe my music doesn't deserve exposure, but my "shit" is better than that poop song. It's ok to say that. Maybe that's subjective, maybe its true. I may not be able to perfectly articulate it, but some things just need to be called out. I mean no offence to you with anything i've said. I actually kind of enjoy ranting like this, I just really am starting to feel compelled to call out some of these things. And I do legitimately love Stevie T lol

This had me in tears! 😂😂 I love when you do these videos because you always find the most hilarious stuff I would have never thought to look for! I love The Pissed Alpaca’s 😆 Great video as always! You’re so close to 3 mill 🤗🤗🤗

Thanks Morgan!! Well, I find MOSTLY uninteresting stuff. I only show the GOOD stuff I found!! Haha! Plus, it was actually really hard to find artists with 0 listeners. LOTS had 1. Which disqualified them from this video! 🤣

Did you know Kurt Cobain named his band 'Fecal Matter' before they became Nirvana in the mid 80s? They even released a demo tape under that name called 'Illiteracy Will Prevail'. You can find it on KZbin. 😂 I love your framed Eddie Van Halen memorabilia on the wall! 😍❤

WOW!! I did not know that Emily!! That would've been hilarious if 'Fecal Matter' was on Spotify, and I ran into not knowing it was Kurt's band! 🤣

I bought those Raycon buds after seeing them in your video last year. I use them for meditations and stuff but the other day at work (noisy place) I tried them with some Van Halen and I loved the sound quality ! All frequencies were pretty perfect and I like to hear the bass. Oh, great video too Stevie! 👍 As usual! 😂 Thanks for your humor! Hey I just realized you have an EVH display on the wall behind you!

When I started making music I wanted to get more involved with the community of small artist and started listening to a lot more unpopular artist. No joke some of the ones I found are better than the ones you hear at the big times right now! 🎼🖤

4:08 Well, Stevie, you got to remember, this song was most likely recorded in prison. Most of his albums were recorded in prison, although the first one wasn't. It's not much better though. It has two songs that I would ever consider good, and both are because of covers, Beach Boys and Guns N Roses.
@Yourlocalpenguinenthusiast11 ай бұрын
How the heck do you record in a prison??
@camerondodge207011 ай бұрын
@@Yourlocalpenguinenthusiast I don't know, but plenty do it. One of Manson's associates recorded a film soundtrack in jail, and there was a great doo-wop group called the Escorts that recorded their debut behind bars.

I would have thought these rear end deathcore (?) pieces were right up your, erm, alley?!? 😂 The alpacas had something going, though, if I remember them correctly. Some rocky stuff in there, and some of the electronic pieces also had potential, I found. Pity, we only would get one guitar solo! 😀 Aaand I was missing Hot Sister in this, I can't help myself!! 😆 This was good fun and now the countdown is definitely on for those 3 mils!!! 💪 Have a great weekend!!
@SteveTerreberry2 жыл бұрын
I actually dug a couple of the fecal deathcore bands! But the production on a couple of them was pretty lack. Hot Sister is currently without glasses. My pair broke, and I'm trying to find the right replacements!!
