For him its different... This has clearly been a love and passion of his since he was a young man. If she wants to spend more time with him, she needs to go be with him. It shouldnt matter what they are doing as long as they are doing it together. He loves her, he married her, they've been together 12 years when this was taped. Instead of taking away her husbands happiness she needs to find a way to make that project racer their car, something they can do together and be proud of. He gets to keep turning wrenches, she gets quality time with her husband, they grow closer as spouses and have a great story to tell about a 1965 dodge dart.

Most of these types of men are not really that good at nor interested in cars and car building. Theyvare using cars to avoid dealing with internal truths they are running away from. I nearly wanted to marry a guy who collects and works on American muscles all day everyday. When his toys are costing him his job, savings, relationships, and his safety, he needs to see a shrink. I'm glad I share the same hobbies as my husband. We both are car enthusiasts. But she should be happy he's not at a club or somewhere she won't like, he's in his garage, wrenching away. read a bunch of comments, didn't see the suspicion I would have that she's actually scared he will go for a joy ride and pick up a hottie in his expensive, shiny power-car that he made himself. She should be more supportive and spend time with HIM while he's doing his thing. I'll come across like a jerk to women who read this, but he's not made to physically sit down in listen to your short-story-long and watch drama shows and pain your nails. He's just not built for it and she knew it before they were married over a decade. He's at home being faithful.
