Never get in the way while a father is disciplining his son. C he is TEACHING him. You get in the way, you not only show a discord in your home but you give opportunity for more disobedience and manipulation from the kids. Mothers you are not mothering in the middle of a father who is fathering. Move on over or go in another room. Your boys are going to become the men we all need today.

Loaning money? The old adage applies here: "Be careful loaning money to friends / relatives. You very well might lose both". Never EVER co-sign a loan. Ever - there is a reason the bank refused them solo. Also, when I loan money to people, I already know Im not getting it back (sometimes I actually do) but if I dont, I dont care. I give an amount I can afford to lose. Now obviously, if the person who doesnt pay me back asks again, of course I turn them down, reminding them that had they paid me back from the first loan, Id have the money now to loan them LOL. Works for me.

His whole interaction with the chemistry teacher was really demeaning. His opinion is that people should stay ignorant of chemistry and the woman should hide the fact that she teaches it. That is a stupid idea. The US needs a lot more STEM degrees. We have to import engineers (mostly from India) because students are not studying STEM. She should be proud to be a chemistry teacher. She should have a few stories that use simple chemistry to show people how interesting it is. A LOT of cooking is based on chemistry. Using acids and bases are critical to good cooking. Baking is chemistry. Yeast consumes sugar and creates CO2. Steve's attitude is wrong.

1 :11 How can he advise someone when he doesn't have any more information than that? "Undisciplined boys make undisciplined men who end up either in the hospital or in jail or in the grave." Well, let me tell you that an education with too much discipline produces men who end up in hospital, prison or the grave. The 2 extremes are equal, unfortunately. Before advising anything, he should have asked more questions: - How was he, the father, brought up? What is his family pattern, basically? Because there are people who didn't experience hard discipline younger and who use it on their kids. As a result, they maybe don't know how to "do it right", I'd say. - What are the dad's reasons for disciplining his sons the hard way? And when I say reasons, I don't mean "because they're boys". I'd have asked for specific reasons, i.e. "After they've done something stupid." "Okay, what kind of mischief?", "After they said something bad" "Okay, what was the bad thing that they said?", and so on. - How often does he discipline them hard? (Because, I think we all understood that when the lady was talking about it, she may not have been saying the terms because they were on a TV set, but from the look on her face when she talks about "discipline hard", we're clearly talking about physical correction here, in my opinion). - Does she think it's something fairly automatic, or is "hard discipline" something you can tell is thought out by the father? - After the "hard discipline", do the parents, and especially the father, see that their sons have understood why he was reprimanded so harshly? And lots of other questions I can't think of~ With a topic of this kind, we can't brush it off as if it was nothing. Well, I only stopped at 1:11... 😂
@abasiodiongime81749 ай бұрын
I agree, I feel like there was more information to be got from that story before judging. No one says discipline is not good, but there is such a thing as too much, it causes children to either grow up stunted because they are afraid to make any decisions orgo very bad at the first taste of freedom.
