Steve hit the nail on the HEAD with the last one. Good men are afraid to get into a marriage before they're certain they can provide for their spouse and family. It's very very VERY important to us to have a clear path to walk when it comes to that kind of stuff.
@syw98822 жыл бұрын
…& we good women are just waiting to love on y’all. Stay the course! Good luck!
@ThomasTheTankEngine222 жыл бұрын
Especially, as a good man, you're aware of the responsibility and the struggles/ damage that come from being unprepared. And we try to avoid promising things to the people we love and then not being able to cash out on that promise. And that TAKES TIME! Main things is being honest with yourself and being disciplined enough to let time do it's thing (with hard work of course). That way when that time comes you have way less insecurities as a man and can properly lead
@ms.rutledge78362 жыл бұрын
When your thinking in the natural, don't you know that God honors marriage. Marriage is power, God will open up doors you never thought could open.

I love how Steve Harvey explained and concretized the concept of a financial clock. For many of us men, even in this age of equality, there is an expectation that we are the providers. Rather than admit that we are not in a financial position to make that happen and appear incompetent, we delay commitment. At least an aashole has his dignity.

@BMarie7743 жыл бұрын
That's such a stupid concept though. What would she have preferred? Does she prefer a man marry her who isn't truly sure if he wants to be with her? If a man was to come to me and say he was unsure about the commitment of marriage is find that super commendable. Sure, my ego might take a strike but yeah can't let your emotions dictate your maturity. I don't get her issue. Why ghost him pretty much? Why does it have to be all or nothing? If a man told me he wasn't ready for commitments due to something like finances that's entirely understandable. Marriage is expensive. The process of getting married is costly even when you don't do a big elaborate wedding. You suddenly have to consider how much you trust someone. What's yours isn't only yours anymore? The financial risks if it doesn't work out.. People let their emotions dictate way too much. I don't we why she couldn't be like “okay. I feel you. I'm upset. I think I'm in a different place than you emotionally. But I'm willing to do whatever I need to backtrack and make sure we are synced up”.

@mrpotatohead36182 жыл бұрын
@@chickendodofries5305 honestly just being put in situations where you have to talk to random people helps. Also repeating in my head instead of just knowing what I wanted to say helped. One of the hardest things for me was saying words with sharp beginnings like our, apple, it, like words that started with a vowel or vowel sound sucked for me because my throat didn’t let me speak. And that wasn’t out of fear it was literally like my throat wouldn’t allow it. So easing the sounds out helped like subtly saying ya-our, aaaple, yit, and other words. I just eased myself into the word and my throat didn’t tighten up

I’m a 45 year old white man and at the end of the day PEOPLE NEED PEOPLE!!!! Be kind to one and other!!! We need to stop being so quick to clown people,judge people and duck helping others. If you need help with something you would like someone to kindly help you so let’s keep that in mind. If we try to selflessly help or just be kind to others at least once during the course of a day the world would be on the road to recovery ❤️

I always thought Steve was entertaining but, he is just straight spitting knowledge right here. This video(part where he is talking about men's financial clock) needs to be shown to every young lady who is thinking about settling down. My wife and I dated for 5 years before we got married. I asked her after I was established in my career and bought a house. When we met, I was too busy being having "fun". And our son had a slight stutter(mostly stammer) when he was little. He hasn't had it for a long time now. Actually he never stops talking!😂 So, it brought a tear to my eye when that girl talked about her struggle. You are a good man Mr. Harvey.

The last one is the best he’s ever done! Old school works every time. I love his common sense way of thinking, makes so much sense!!! And works!

The first girl is so pretty. Stuttering to me is the brain working faster than the words can come out of the mouth. I slightly stutter when I'm in a hurry to speak as fast as my brain is processing what I'm trying to say. People who stutter just need to slow down...it's helped me.

When I get really excited I start stuttering. There are too many things I want to say and only one pair of lips.

I totally agree. I used to stutter when I was little. My counselor taught me to slow down my thoughts. I'm 43 now and haven't stuttered ever since.

Thank you Steve.. You just explained it to the point. Women don't understand what's going on our mind when it comes to a wedding #hallelujah

I had a mad stutter and a lisp growing up, all the way into secondary school (age 11). I hated it and it got me down. My grandad, who I loved and I looked up too, sat me down and said "you don't have a stutter. There's nothing wrong with you". That changed everything for me. He said so determined yet lovingly, it really stuck inside my head. Slowly, the stutter and lisp just evaporated. Still miss him ❤️

This man has really lived and learned from life, unlike too many people, and that's why he's the best therapist because he's been there and done that already.❤ Well done Steve.❤❤

I stuttered severely as a child. I don't stutter 99% of the time now. I understand the pain.

That's good, but even so, stuttering isn't such a bad thing really.

@@roxana4218 how can you reply like this when the young man, Steve, and the lady in the video all described it as painful? How can something that’s painful be “not such a bad thing”? Please don’t be so dismissive
@roxana42183 жыл бұрын
@@Princess-x Oh, that's really not what I meant. I'm not making it sound like a small thing from the person that is stuttering point of view, not at all. What I meant was, that for me personally, if someone is stuttering, then it's cool, take your time, I'm listening. And if I can help, I would too :). I'm sorry, I should have been more precise with my initial comment.
