Being an Aunt is honestly the biggest blessing in the whole world. Being accused of intentionally hurting one of my babies would be the end of the absolute world for me. I’d never EVER put one of them in harm’s way. Shout out to the Auntie for being proven innocent and showing she absolutely loves her little nephew!

Really shout out for letting a 6 month old get 2nd degree burns and not take him immediately to the ER or say anything to the parents. They found out the next day when they got up and blisters had formed. If she had acted, it wouldn’t have been that bad. If that’s the way you would act, I’d be scared to let you babysit ur nieces or nephews. Wether she did it on purpose or not, she did not do what she should’ve done. “I was scared” too damn bad. The burns shows that the baby grasped something hot like freshly baked chicken. Shit my mom had the same burn as a teen from touching pipping hot food. Babies skin is way more sensitive than an adults so it’s completely valid to think the chicken did that. Idk how young the aunt is but she looks young and was most likely scared especially if the dad burst in the door screaming at her. I believed her once she actually spoke about it because that story sounds like a tale as old as time.

She was lying about that part. Because they didn't even know the baby was hurt so why would he bust in screaming and her. She lied multiple times period. The child was in her care so she at fault doesn't matter if she passed. She passed for intentionally not doing. She still is responsible for the child in her care. If she so scary she need to be more mindful watching people kids. And all that soft spoken shit was for tv. Because she shall was going back and forth with the dad but we supposed to believe she was scared when he was simply yelling at her because she is not worthy of watching people kids. She got what she deserved and no apologies were needed. Yall need to learn accountability.

A similar situation almost happened with my daughter. I was holding my baby girl on my hip at 6.5 months. She was a very gabby/active baby. I was cooking dinner, baked chicken specifically. As soon as I took it out the oven, she grabbed for it and I almost dropped it. She didn’t get a grip on it because I quickly pulled away, but one or two of her little fingers did touch the pan. Just from that one little touch, she had a little red bump on her finger. She didn’t cry at all. I was the one crying because it did freak me out, just thinking about how much worse it could have been. The sister should have been honest, but I feel like they wouldn’t have believed her anyway. The boyfriend is very comfortably aggressive with women. That’s probably why she lied, even though it’s not justifiable. I’m happy she passed. Hopefully they can mend their relationship. The sister will need a baby sitter again. It’s good to see Steve getting on to the “mom” for her childish behavior.

That is shocking. The woman who was looking after the baby did look like she was in a tizzy about how to explain the situation as how he got burned. If he did touch hot chicken straight from the oven, it would burn his fragile skin that badly. I was in my daughter's house one evening a few years ago. I was holding my grandson who was about 10 months old . There was bread in the toaster. I wasn't quick enough to see what he was doing. Then in a flash, he had his hand in the glowing red toaster. I felt like I wanted to chop my hand off. What was I concentrating on that made me relax my vigilance. I was probably more upset with myself than my grandson was with the burns. It has never left me, that shock was impactful. I hope that the two sisters mend the broken bridge between them. And NOBODY should be spanking, whooping, hitting with belts or any other object to chastise a child. It teaches them nothing on how to be violent. Don't forget you reap what you sow.

This young lady is obviously and clearly nervous, she’s shaken because 2 people she loves are charging her & threatening her & screaming at her & she is clearly easily startled. If you want to get to the bottom of something, remaining calm goes a long way.

Accidents can happen during the blink of an eye. The eyes are also very vulnerable, they can confuse you and if you aren't paying direct attention to something, the brain simply fills in the blanks. She could've been holding him and looking in the opposite direction. For the mother of the child to come out and fight the little sister without knowing the actual truth, is a hypocrisy. The little sister has a right to be afraid, especially when both parents are literally trying to attack her. If I was the little sister, I wouldn't talk with them again. Knowing my innocence remains but you're trying to cause physical harm to my character. For all you "oh you must not have kids", respectfully, I'd kill for mine. Oml. But if I know that person might be innocent because babies reach out for everything!, I'll simply take appropriate action, creating distance and calling the authorities.

If this huge accident happened, why didn’t she tell them. They had to find the blisters the next day when they could’ve prevented them. Of course he came in angry after not knowing for a whole day. I haven’t finished it but if that happened while I was watching someone else’s child, I would call them immediately on my way to the hospital.

@@Nomadicninjas There’s a difference between abuse and corporal punishment. Spanking is not abuse. If she wandered off knowing she was not supposed to leave while he was caring for the newborn, she should’ve been spanked. Better to spank your child than have to dig her out of a shallow grave after she gets kidnapped and murdered. Not being properly supervised? She was old enough to know what she can and cannot do. He was caring for a newborn. I have 3 children, 1 being a 7 month old in a spica cast from her belly to her feet. My kids can be left unattended while I am on the other room caring for their baby sister and I do not have to worry. They know better and so did she, but when he turned his back she decided to sneak out.
