Good runs at Sweet 16 2.0 this past weekend. Nice back end win over that nitrous car in the semi's. It seemed that 75% of the cars in that Summit Racing far lane, spun their tires on Saturday/elimination day. Seemed like the track was hooking 100 times better the day before during quals. Anyway, good racing that day. I've never watched any RvW type event before, but I think Im hooked!

With BAE do you run the cylinder heads the way there delivered? I know they do a hell've port job out of the CNC machine but does someone work on the ports after? I'm just curious on a engine like that is there a head guru you use or is there really no room for improvement? I would assume there badass from BAE.

BAE sends them out pretty damn perfect, but I think I remember on another video that they do some very minimal messaging. Not 100% sure though...

Is it true that turbo pro mod cars have to be fifty lbs heavier than supercharged pro mod cars in the NHRA?
@hooyabaaa25 жыл бұрын
Yes it´s true. The minimum weights are: 2475 lbs to Nitro 2600 to Supercharged 2650 to Turbo Nitro cars was 2425 lbs before. Supercharged cars cant use twin screw and turbos cant be larger than 88mm each.

turbo cars are still faster lol
@waynebollentin9895 жыл бұрын
Yeah but the blower cars have improved a lot including centrifugal. You also need to turbos to beat one blower. So it's really not a far comparison. The bottom line is they all make tons power. Both also have their advantages and disadvantages.
@mrturbo62645 жыл бұрын
@@waynebollentin989 if they allow them to put on the 108mm 2 words GAME OVER
@waynebollentin9895 жыл бұрын
@@mrturbo6264 my point is they need 2 turbos versus 1 blower. I knew mustang mike before he passed away and it was when I lived in NJ. He was the first to run twin F-1X Prochargers. Car made 3000rwhp+ and went 3s on radials. Car still had much more in it. It's a shame he didn't get to see it's full potential. The biggest single turbo is close to the power of a F-3X-143 will make. Can't what to see what the F-3X-150 makes it they ever release it. I've ran both and went low 7s with a single 100mm on a 347 sbf about 15 years ago but I still loved the sound of the car and exhaust from a Procharger. Makes a smallblock sound like a 1000ci motor lol. The power adder argument has been going on for decades. It will never end because people have different preferences on how they setup up a car and when they want the power to come in. If you have a big tire on a prep surface you can run extremely fast ET's with a Roots/screw. Turbos benefit with top end power and mph. Mixed combinations make the races better to what. They've done a great job over the years making them as balanced as possible to keep the different options to pick from. I hope people getting to pick their poison continues. It wouldn't be as fun everyone just ran turbos.
