@PatsBandofCash10 жыл бұрын
Yes, this video is really good how they brought out the best of each other. Blues is done with feeling, and yes, it's LOVE. Pride and Joy is a great song. I just covered it. I sing, play bass guitar and rock hard all at the same time. I think I rock n' roll the best today. I did it with a karaoke. I even wore my all black leather outfit. It's my featured video right now if you want to see me move and hear my punchy bass. Happy New Year.

Mm, I remember when I was just entering high school my dad gave me a collection of music (basically an assortment of country, rock, jazz and classical orchestra) he had laying around the place. The one that always stood out to me was Stevie. When I first heard his music, it was like I'd been struck by lightning. In the fifteen years since then (not necessarily wiser, but maybe a touch more eloquent), I've yet to hear an ARTIST who could move in the same manner. It was almost like a revelation. He put into his performances this purity and intensity of emotion and soul that I have a difficult time finding anywhere else. If there's one thing I could ever ask for in my life, it would be to see and hear that same feeling in the next generation.
@BluesboyJagCigarBoxGuitar14 жыл бұрын
Stevie is REALLY trying hard to pull back and not do his dweedly dweedly thing on this recording and it really works here. His restraint is breathtaking. Im really burned out on his over the top style but he BURNS and is in a land all by himself, no doubt about it. He feels what he plays which is the whole point but most people simply can't feel that much soul ALL THE FRIGGING TIME which is what makes his shows some of the best guitar shows humanity has ever seen. : )

Here's a trick in finding chords you don't know - find out the lowest note, then bar that fret as an F, moving up slowly. As you go, what's missing/what's causing the dissonance falls into place. Some chords will have crazy names for no reason other than those are the frets you pluck on the tab. Or Google it :P
