Thanks James. I hope ou feel better soon. Stevie went to rehab 4 years before he died and was such a living humble man. Helped many get sober. His best friend was the bass player Tommy Shannon went to rehab at the same time. Tommy said Stevie was even better as a man than as a guitarist. I loved Stevie as both. Great reaction James 👏👏👏👏👏

SRV was one of kind! I first saw him a month after his first record was released. It was in Miami September 1983. It was the local awards shows for local talent. SRV opened up for a 1960's artist named Mitch Ryder...over 90% of those people there had no idea who SRV was. But after his 45 minute set, the buzz in the refreshment area after his set, was WHO THE F*CK WAS THAT GUY???? My girlfriend and i took a ride up to Cocoa Beach Fl. to see SRV play at popular club called Brassy's SRV played for 2 1/2 hours. From 83 to 1987 i saw the band 6 more times. But August 27th 1990 is the date that sticks in my mind! Here is a side note....Stevie died EXACTLY 4 years to the date, his Father Big Jim died.....SRV's father passed away August 27th 1986

Not just real music but great music...SRV always gave 100 % to all of his performances....I don't know of any other performer that can match that.

I have to give props to the dynamic drummer and his sidekick bass player who was his backbone.👍👍👍👍

Tuned guitar in beginning while playing, swaps guitars, tunes second guitar, plays behind his back, loses a tooth..lol, epic. Texas Flood live at El Mocambo is great Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland

This was written for a close friend of Stevie's who was killed, was a guitar maker, and made the white guitar that is being played here. Love and miss ya Stevie ❤

Charlie Wirz was his friend who owned a guitar shop in Dallas. He died suddenly from a heart attack. He made the white guitar that Stevie switches to in the beginning. Most people miss the switch.

@jerrypass71357 күн бұрын
String did not break. It just wouldn't tune correctly.

His reference in the speech is regarding Apartheid which was going on in Africa at the time. Thats his reference to the Mother country
@jerrypass71357 күн бұрын
Stop with the nonsense, please!!! He DID NOT SAY "Mother Country"!! He said "in another part of the country, down south". And he was not referencing Apartheid! 🙄
