My sweet husband, used to call me out of the blue and sing this song to me. It always brightened my day so much. To this day I think of his sweet voice singing this to me over over the phone. He passed away in January 2020 from Alzheimers. This brings joy to me whenever I hear this beautiful song.

My dad just passed away yesterday, today I checked my old voicemails from him- one wishing me well at college and one to sing this to me, his dad’s favorite song. My dad was such a strong person, every year fighting for his life from illnesses- this year he has decided to pass away peacefully in his sleep. We weren’t allowed to visit because of Covid, but I love you Dad.

I loved Stevie Wonder since the early 70s :) don't laugh but Stevie was singing this once on TV & my kitty stopped & was looking up at the screen, because I always told him "I love you!" & he recognized those words! This song makes me cry because I miss my kitty

My father always told me that when he passes away, to play this song for him time to time just to know he loves me even in the after life. He hasn't passed away yet but he's getting sicker. Listening to this now i'm already breaking down in tears, I don't know how to deal with it when it actually happens.
@MrJiggles256 жыл бұрын
Out of curiosity, why would you share this with strangers? Not trying to be rude, but what exactly does this profit you? I'm not saying this is inappropriate. But what's the point? What exactly are you hoping for?
@TiffanyLockheart6 жыл бұрын
I'm expressing myself. That's all. Why does things have to be something to profit from?
@MrJiggles256 жыл бұрын
Because usually unsolicited actions are in nature profitable. For example, maybe you sought a connection with someone who is or was in the same situation for consoling. Or maybe you wanted some hope or answers? I just wanted to know your reason for letting these strangers know of such a personal occurrence in your life. If you felt better after posting then that was your profit. Again, I'm not trying to be insensitive to your plight. I just think you may be an idealist. I don't mean that in a bad way. Idealists warm my heart 😊 lol

back in the day when I was a teenager, my mom befriended an Iraqi woman. We would always go to the same Italian restaraunt where they had a jukebox machine and she would always put her quarter in the machine, play this song and would say everybody stop talking this is my song.........and she would sing along every time and nobody could talk until the song was over.....sometimes she would put more quarters to hear it again..lol ..every time I hear this song, I think of her....life is funny..............she really loved this song.
