What other rapper do you have to say 'he is a student of the game' for? Only reason people say that for Em is because he is white. He has been living rap since he was a kid, and he is in his 50s now. People are just racist and ignorant, pretty simple.
@14KrisDavis9 ай бұрын
@@XekTOr89Duh. Hip Hop was a way for blacks to have a voice back then. Express themselves and show their creativity. So, back when Em jumped in it, before he even blew up he had to be that much better in order for people to pay attention to him. Because of his race a lot of people don't want to call him one of the greatest. His resume speaks for itself. If you pay attention to when people speak about the greats they always use the saying "student of the game". A little too loosely if you ask me.

Wisdom can be earned the hard way when you`re having a rough time as a youngsta. It`s whats permeated the lyrics from those building the artform with storytelling. We listen to them, not the song. Them bread crumbing pieces of their soul before leaving early. I love to hear it from those with the privilege of perspective through time. And fuck nostalgia, thing I know in my heart and I recognise that when it`s gold you know it in real time and you feel blessed and you are fully there to experience it. Im with ya. Unfortunately I've noticed that theres an extreme shortage of humility to be found on this planet. And I'm aware that im gonna be viewed as an "old head" complaining about the younger generations but it seems to me that after genX finished off kindergarten - middle school, humility 101 class started to get phased out. And with this phasing out within the schools, parents never stepped up to fill that void. So millennials, gen y & gen z dont know what it means to show humility. This is just based off of my experiences in life. And thats not to say that older people dont also lack the humility gene. But the lack of humility seems more prevalent within younger generations.

Thank you, Sir. Thank you for bringing this into my world. I've been a fan since your first TOOL reaction, but stayed because I respect your knowledge of the "old school". So much I never knew or even thought I would care about, I have learned by watching your reactions. I appreciate that so very much. Word

Busta is in my top five and I find it crazy how overlooked he is . He is arguably the only rapper who has been able to hang with Em in a song, Calm Down specifically. Could argue Busta took it but it’s so close, respectfully it’s a toss up.

I’m a 51 year old white dude who still stands by that Biggie was and is the best rapper ever. I saw him do a rap battle before he was famous at the Moon in Tallahassee Florida where he spit the verse ‘I’m rippin MC’s from Tallahassee to Compton’ and later used it in his song Ready To Die. He tore up every rapper that night with ease. I snuck out of Ranger School in the Army to go buy his first album the day it came out because I remembered seeing him that night at the Moon and knew he’d make it huge eventually because he was so naturally talented and humble. He was a true freestyle artist. 2Pac was the complete opposite, he was a prolific writer and wrote everything down and wrote more than he would ever be able to record. U can’t compare rappers by better than because so many are to different in style. Like Eminem to Lil Wayne, both are top tier in their own style but are equal in their talent. Biggie gets my nod because his freestyle was unmatched.

I think you're wrong a little bit. When Pac and Big did that old freestyle, You could tell Pac's was straight off the head. He has also done old freestyles on the street. No diss to the Notorious. I love Biggie also.

B I G isn’t that greatest either, there’s only greatness out there, stop with the best cause there will never be a greatest like with basket ball no greatest just greatness to me anyways happy 4/20 everyone😱it’s no longer 4/20 🤯lol

BIG my fav also. This a cool story abt Big in Tallahassee, too. I Don’t see ‘either one’ as Clearly better than the other; evnth I Much Prefer the Story-telling aspect of BIGs rhymes. Both died too Soon which is really the Only truth to glean from ANY of these stories!!!

People need to give Shady some more respect. Everyone forgets him with this goat convo. Can we discuss how everyone is scared to have Em feature cause he's gonna eat them on their own track. I feel like he wants to get into the beef going on rn with the who had the best verse on forever but they know better than to beef with Slim
