ICP and Twiztid were the biggest independent artists in the world in the early 2000s and that's undeniable. Tech was touring with them on their tours at the time. It's how most of us know who he is honestly.

The biggest thing about tech is that if you go through his first major album, anghellic and absolute power, you hear the story. His first few albums were stories that gave you insight to what he went through as an artist. I grew up in Kansas and this dude was always going through adversity.
@kristopherjensen1458
@kristopherjensen1458 3 жыл бұрын
Ive always called his style a trance-mission. Its like when he says something, it all has a purpose, but the cadences put you in a trance. You just sit in awe at his level of both skill and humility. He is pretty much an oxymoron, in that he remains both humble and knows just how good he is at the same time. This is who Hopsin reminds me of. Both really just dont care, they will put on people who may not be as mainstream as others, and make them memorable. Em has really just kinda rekindled himself in that pocket featuring people like Young MA, Reyes, etc. This is why they seem to be getting better despite time.

Klusterfuck and Carabou lou are iconic tech songs hope their on the list)

The flow you're referring to is called Chopping. Really a midwest thing. Other regions do it sure, but so many more dudes from the Midwest use that cadence type it's kind of our thing. If you want a master class in it five into the rest of the chopper series... Midwest choppers 1 & 2

you wonder how that would be for him... picture this if you will, he's been around since the 90's, it's 2020, and b/c mainstream won't have anything to do with him, YOU are just NOW hearing about him, and he's been THIS GOOD the WHOLE time... he's put out over 20 albums/mixtapes(this song was released 11 years ago), he's collaborated with almost EVERY big artist in MULTIPLE genres (Rap : Eminem, metal : Cory Taylor, Rock : Serj Tankian from System of a Down, Classic Rock : All the members of The Doors except Jim Morrison.. ect..) and you are just now hearing about him. I'm sure the industry shunning him made him feel just like Rudolph. EDIT : Also, his rap style, he Chops aka chopper, which is why there are all the Chopper remix's...

For those that don't know, Rocky Dennis was a guy that had a disease which affected bone development and growth, and gave him a very unique appearance that led to him being bullied, if you want the whole story they made a movie about him called Mask, if I had been at his school, I would have wanted to be his friend, he seemed very chill and down to earth, but that's the movie version, not so sure about what the real Rocky Dennis is like

Truth!!! And it was at the time where there was a "lane" that they could put rappers in. Tech didn't fit. He had things to say, outside of gangsta shit. He embraced the rock. He also broached "dangerous" topics. He was just too different to sell for the established industry.

Oh and it's no coincidence that clownish features, mainstream (Mayne stream (of water) and gleam (shiny lights) were in the same verse. They are all "IT" references (horror book and a couple of movies). A lot of this song is a triple entendre because Red Nose connects Rudolph the reindeer like you correctly assume... as we all know Clown - the painted face and the IT (monster inside of him that he can't kill) but also meant as him being the brave leader who will lead his flock of deers through any storm.

He co-founded Strange Music in 1999 . He had his own label ever since 99. He was blackballed. He was ostracized and outcasted. He was signed for a while. They didn't know what category of rap to put him in because he was versatile. I respect and laud Tech's versatility to the max. He stands out from a lot of other artists. He's an alien rapper in a good way. Tech is unique. There will never be another Ninna.
