I ain't gonna lie. This is my first time hearing this and I'm in tears. As a black American going through life I feel like he was personally talking to me. I too fall into the majority of people who hide who they are to be personified as what the culture portrays. I'll pull up in the hood listening to ti or lil Wayne knowing damn well I shouldn't have skipped my favorite song by breaking Benjamin or asking Alexandria. I only say nigga when I'm around others that's that type but called white when I go into a predominantly white area. It makes me feel like a phony and that's good. Hearing this message is good. I know I'm not the only one out here hiding themselves longing for a change. I just want to thank you so much for reacting to this. Hopsin is outta this world and for him to put me in tears reflecting on myself is powerful af. I wish the best for you and him. Yall genuine real shit. It's time for a change. I hope you see this for passing the message on to me. Even if I'm the only one who it effected just know that I'm one more that's one step closer to being real!

Songs like these are why Hopsin is in my top five. He's had deep songs that gave words to a lot of thoughts I was having as a teenager and even now. He even lost a lot of fans over it, people who thought his songs were whack, but its precisely because he's always made music that he wanted to make, deep relatable shit, that ive been a fan from the jump. I'm all for self-reflection, and I know this world would be a better place if we did.

Nobody give Hopsin his credit.. Stevie hasn't heard a single song or verse from Hopsin that he(Stevie) didn't think was straight fire. YET, many verses and songs from Royce that didn't quite make same impression. But this is somehow even a debate. It's no contest. Hopsin is clean. clean mind. clean soul. and BRUH the substance of what Hopsin consistently speaks on.. no comparrison. Royce has some dope bars, but his flow, verse structure, mindset, and production need work. Hopsin makes a lot of his music by himself. Wrote the verse, hook, beat.. all of it. And it still sounds good. Even to unbiased parties. People I know that don't listen to rap at all, can listen to Hop when I have him playing. It's crazy how respect works in this screwed up world. Royce can't even take care of himself.. I digress.

Though i dont put it on my playlist, this is my favorite hopsin song cause it is just that thought provoking and relatable. It aint bangin but it digs into seeps marrow. He sometimes sprinkles these ideologies into other songs, but this was the first one i heard this impactful and focused all on society instead of certain people who may had struck a nerve with him.
