Stevie killing it in front 200k people! Amazing Performance. I would argue 1981-1985 might have been the best 5 years in music history. So much great music.

She comes from good stock. Handsome Dad beautiful mum ( mum now recently has passed. My condolences Stevie soul sister) Ironically the very drug “ that some said made her sing her better etc was killing her….giving many other bands ,like the Eagles, Aerosmith same) So ,no wonder her songs were so REAL HONEST They were like reading a private diary if you will. Stevie,from a female point of view,was sexy but never! In your face w that. Subtle & glamorous and bohemian style dressed ah those shawls could be storytellers!😊 Love you since 17. Now I’m 64❤

I seen Stevie in Dallas, Texas a few times at now demolished Reunion Arena. Feels like once with the band (FM) and solo twice. Very vague memory was one of those nights in Dallas her dad introduced her on stage all by herself. I was under the influence of some booze. So? Just glad I got there. Peace.

@movingsalesf Жыл бұрын
Yes, I've got the original concert with original Vocals. The Stand Back vocal on KZbin is completely different from the original. At first I thought it was just cleaned up but upon review it is completely different...different words even.
@jasonburger35338 ай бұрын
@@movingsalesfThe first US Festival was held on the Labor Day weekend in September 1982, over a 3-day period. High temperatures were oppressively hot at close to 120 degrees. There were hoses of water thrown into the crowds at that event. The 1983 US Festivals were held on the Memorial Day weekend, May 28-30, 1983 and the following Saturday, June 4, 1983, of which this performance had been from, I believe. The song "Stand Back" had just been released earlier in 1983. Stevie Nicks had turned 35 in May 1983, so she was young. She turned 75 in May 2023 and still looks young, still tours, and has performed many versions of "Stand Back" over her long career. The song "Stand Back" had been a collaboration between Stevie Nicks and Prince in 1983. After his 2016 death, she did tributes to him at her concerts. The song had been inspired by his song "Little Red Corvette". "Stand Back" came from that, at least loosely. It is one of her most popular songs and the earlier renditions, such as performed here, were different in sound live compared to the recording studio rendition.

@@ewanmaxwell3267There had been a VHS copy and a DVD copy available. This US Festival occurred over 2 weekends in 1983 at the Glen Helen Regional Park in Devore, California, adjacent to the City of San Bernardino, the same location of the original US Festival in September 1982, when high temperatures were near 120 degrees. This 1983 US Festival occurred over the Msy 28-30, 1983 Memorial Day weekend and the following Saturday, June 4, 1983, which I think this performance is from.
