Thanks, Steve, really appreciate your videos. I like how you're willing to just be you and let us see the process sometimes. It helps all of us feel like we should be willing to give our projects a shot and if it doesn't work out the way we originally thought, then that is Okay.

Steve I know your not one to go into great detail with your projects and explain everything along with trial and error but I am sure that everyone loves it. Including myself, 8 min + videos are GREAT!!! Keep up the video style you been experimenting with!!! Enjoy your week off!! You deserve it!!

Hey, Steve. I just wanted to say thanks for making me want to work wood again. I'd gotten bored with it and had moved on to the next hobby, but your videos have sucked me back in. Your humor and easy going manner make me want to start punching out projects for the kids again. You should be proud of your work and the good your doing. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

A good idea would be to make a cardboard shim to go in the gap when glueing the last piece to hold it in place. Something not quiet the full width, so it doesnt get glued, but that holds it in the right place easily

Great little project. I had wondered if the center piece could have had some way to add extra material to possibly provide a way to add a loop to run a string through for hanging on your neck?

Steve, I'm a long time follower, and I wanted to throw an idea your way. Have you ever tried oven-tinting wood? That is, placing the wood on a cookie sheet at 400 degrees for however long of time it takes to change it to the color you want the wood to be? (the longer it's in, the darker and deeper the tones that come out). I got the idea from a set of plans that I purchased, as well as the guitar company Ernie Ball/Musicman doing this process to their necks, which is a newer endeavor on their end (I love their guitars). If I can avoid it, I will never need to stain smaller projects again. For some reason, this project struck me as a perfect candidate for heat tinting, and I may try it. I'm currently heat tinting some pieces of wood for a marble run that I am building, which is the fourth project that I am doing this method. Keep up the great projects Steve, I thank you for getting me back into this hobby!

Enjoyable as always. Your channel is something of a recent addiction forcibly curbed... I've binge watched it all. While discussing with a friend some of your recent comments regarding the safety police and your resemblance to Hugh Laurie, we chuckled at the idea of a couple of projects. House needs a cane. The safety police need Chubbs' hand. Anywho Merry Christmas to you and thanks for the entertainment.
