Heyyyyyyy another couple riding separate bikes, it was a joy watching this video and hearing the excitement in Mrs. Stevy voice while riding the RoadKing and pressing all the buttons, while enjoying the cruise control. Yep I see a trade coming. Glad you guys made it home safe. Thanks for linking your video on our channel @Bootsandjeansriders. I'm Kake ride safe.

Thanks for posting guys. You two are a pleasure to watch. She is having waaaayyyy too much fun on the RoadKing and looking good. This was a good example of not panicking and making the best of a bad situation. The hair tie held up 👍👍👍and you made it home safe.

FYI, a small roll of wire and strong duct tape, with a few basic hand tools on every outing can get you out of real pickle at times.

holy cow that is scary to have to limp it along with no gear shifter. good job. I am planning on getting a bike right soon and there is a local 2010 maroon fury with stock pipes for only 4k. i haven't ridden for about 8 years. used to own a 97 magna 700 cc. so, handling? how is it? also what helmet mikes and such you two using? i want to be able to have two helmets for coms and stuff with a passenger.
@StevyFaux4 жыл бұрын
Paul Stout the fury is an amazing bike. And priced right. They handle great. The only down side is the slow maneuvering but once you get used to it it’s no problem at all. We use Sena 30Ks for communication. I hope you get on two wheels soon!

Looking at picking up a Fury myself. Rumors about Honda putting the dual-clutch on the 2020 Fury. Holding out to see if it will happen or not. Looks like you enjoy yours and the old man seems impressed also.

Long story short. About 12 years ago I broke my back and a 30-foot fall. Not knowing if I would ever walk again. Riding a motorcycle was not in my future. Growing up riding bikes I was kind of devastated. After years of surgeries and physical therapies I got up to walking again but my balance was always a little off and I have a limp. I also still struggle with a bulging disc and sciatica. This can be debilitating at times. So I decided to look into getting a motorcycle about 4 years ago. Nothing too heavy and something that I could manage. I found a Honda Fury to be appealing. And I want to purchase a black and chrome one at my local dealership. Unfortunately it was sold when I got there. But on the way out of the doors I found a 2013 red Honda Sabre with Cobra intake and Cobra exhaust. The previous owner only have less than a thousand miles on it and they also included a Corbin leather seat and a sissy bar in the back. There was also leather saddlebags. I never had saddlebags on the bike so I wasn't thrilled about those things. They look nice. But after using them a few times I wouldn't want to leave home without them now! Honda made the fury, Stateline, and the saber all around the same time and it's pretty much the same motor just a little difference in each one. And I have to say that even though I got the Honda Sabre instead of the fury I turn heads constantly people always compliment is bike even though it's been customized a little bit. And the bike sounds great. But most of all it's very controllable in manageable for somebody with a bad back like me. The bikes not super heavy and the balance on it is perfect. One of the other great things about this bike is maintenance has been minimal. I do regular oil changes and Brake changes but other than that the bike has zero issues!

Savage 1776 the Saber is a very cool bike. Glad to see you on the bike again. Makes every ride a little more special I’m sure. Thanks for sharing your story!

Not sure what you do for riding footwear but heavy boots are really hard on shift linkage, i just wear light canvas shoes. The longer forward control linkage is inherently weaker too.

Sox GoPro I have her wear boots that will protect her feet. They are just leather boots though not like heavy work boots. Would rather replace shifter linkageythat her skin. Lol

I love to hear how excited/happy Mrs Stevey is to be riding. Wish I could get my wife to get her own bike and ride with me. Always had crotch rockets for speed and stunts, but buying a Fury very shortly 🤙🤙 Question for ya, what communication system are you using? Also, do you have the Go Pro mounted on your helmet? Btw- LMAO @ "Dont piss me off(keyfob)" 😂😂😂 and beautiful RK you have 👍
@StevyFaux5 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! You will be very happy with the Fury! We use Sena 30k’s. They are very handy and being able to communicate so easily is awesome especially with a newer rider. Yes I have a GoPro mounted on the front of my helmet. And the microphone is inside my helmet.
