100% pear doesn't mean one pear. It means the process of making each cider is made entirely from pear (pear becomes plural in this context). Boris is fine.

Bumped into Stewart Lee in Preston last year, coming out of a Peter Hook concert. He had a lidless jam jar in his hand, which appeared to contain an egg yolk swimming in a pale green fluid. Nudging him almost caused Lee to spill his mysterious cargo, and before I could apologise he snarled: "Was the War of Austrian Succession worth all this?!". He then handed me a pound coin and whispered: "Never forget" before vanishing into the night. I remain puzzled to this day about what that all meant.

Brexit was supported by morons who thought leaving the EU would make any difference to non European immigration or asylum. Types who thought leaving the EU would mean less from Pakistan, because they don't know EU means Europe, and there were even morons who thought there would be less brown people, when white people come from Europe, and leaving the EU led to most of our government being brown. Asylum has got worse, as now we're more of a USA lapdog and despite many British people dying to help the USA in Afghanistan, the USA just gave up and let the Taliban take over Afghanistan, but we can't care about all the females who won't have an education, because the USA now want to use Russia as an excuse to start WWIII. We don't even question why Russian news has been banned from our TVs.

I think British people should be careful about getting too mixed up in USA culture. I don't understand why those extreme religious, misogynist American youtube channels rant on about lefties for encouraging multiculturalism and trans kids. USA is the main promoter of trans kids and a forced melting pot nation, so USA capitalism is more of a promoter of what Americans call left wing than any left wing nation. I think USA society is also sick, where men and women dislike each other. USA women tell men they're disgusting if not cir'cised as a baby for non medical reasons, and many USA men spend too long online doing things like making videos saying they don't want women, but instead of leaving women alone, they spend their time on the video comments trying to make women feel bad about themselves and promoting others abuse women. The main policies of lefty countries like most of those in north Europe and Scandinavia are a free health service and university, while the USA promotes trans kids and everything else the USA youtubers call lefty.

People call Stewart left wing, but I wonder why so many British people repeat those fundy religious USA youtubers who call everything lefty, that's in fact mainly promoted by the USA to the rest of the world? In reality, the main left wing policies of socialist countries like most of those in Scandinavia and north Europe, are a free health service and free or cheap university. Look how more diverse we have become since taking Farage's advice to leave the EU and becme more of a USA lapdog. Farage is an ex Tory banker who needs to keep our economy closely linked with USA banks. It's like the anti EU morons don't realise white people come from Europe. People in the USA who rant on about lefties also think a socialised health care system or not being $60,000 in debt to go to university are bad ideas. While they don't care a lot of ther money is spend on funding extremist groups to overthrow leaders friendly with Russia, or who don't want to trade oil in Dollars. Such as Afghanistan wasn't extremist until the USA were arming and training them there in the 80s against Russia. The reason some British people also use the word lefty in that cultural context, despite most of us thinking the NHS is wonderful and seeing anti EU Tories promote cultural liberalism and multiculturalism more than any other political party, is that Britain is also run by the international bankers and our media is owned by them, trying to dumb down society by forcing talentless celebs and trashy Americans in our faces as role models, and trying to encourage everybody to live in greed, debt and a permanent state of war. Such as houses in the USA and Britain are classed as things to buy up and make money from others, than being homes.

I'm English and think Brexit politicians like Farage are the same as Thatcher, when she didn't like the EU preventing Tories mistreating British people, because of the EU saying workers should have enough breaks and genetically modified ingredients should be labelled on food. Farage just wants to keep our culture and economy closely linked with the USA, and the USA is the main promoter to Britain of everything people like Farage call lefty. Look how diverse we have become since following advice of Farage to leave the EU. It might not seem a nice idea for the UK to split up, but England is run by the international bankers who need our economy to stay closely linked with USA banks, encouraging everybody to live in greed and debt. It has become worse since the 1980s, when Tories did the opposite of Germany by treating workers like dirt, making millions of people unemployed and left us an economy based on little else but encouraging everybody to live in debt, for our economy to crash by the early 90s when many couldn't pay back the debts, and crashes every few years since after the USA. Then Tories use the crashes as an excuse to make anybody suffer not any use at being a slave for the upper classes, bankers and Tory tax dodging donors. Don't expect our media to point out the truth, trying to get idiots to be all nationalist over fishing, while we have the biggest differences between rich and poor and worst pensions in north Europe. What media has bothered to remind our people that our own government went along with the USA funding extremists in Libya to overthrow Gaddafi, when British people were later shot in Tunisia and blown up in Manchester by extremists who trained in Libya after Gaddafi was killed? England is full of Sun reading idiots who call others lefties as an insult, while they expect everybody else to pay for their children and cheer on the NHS, not realising the NHS is a lefty idea. Because they heard some Americans online using the tern to insult multiculturalism, when the USA and other capitalist countries promote multiculturalism more than any lefty country. How asleep do you have to be to keep voting in governments that cause university students to be £50,000 in debt, while it's free in Scotland? If the UK all split up, the international bankers/war machine wouldn't see us as any use at being a USA lapdog, and might go away to the USA, and English people will see how Scottish politicians look after their people like the rest of north Europe and Scandinavia, and then want to be the same. That's if it isn't too late and English people aren't dumbed down beyond help.

You misunderstand. (As you seem not to understand statistics and polls). Out of the 4 questions-events already decided and given to an audience the possibility of BJ becoming PMinister was thought as the least crazy. In other words, they were correct, he would become PM. That public knew the obvious... that in today's liberal capitalist ''democracies'' the 'winning the elections' politicians come from specific elites that prepare them and facilitate their win, and these winning politicians play the role of the obvious idiot (like Bush, Trump etc) enacting idiotic decisions-policies which are cheered by enjoying foolish crowds but are really helping only the elites.
@j.johnson3520
@j.johnson3520 2 жыл бұрын
@@telemahos2 Do I? Do I *really* misunderstand? Are you sure? The question was: 2016 has been a year of shocks...what's next? Let's deconstruct the question. The first part is simply an opinioned statement (fair enough), but the second part is "what's next?" So what is 'what'? Is 'what' a shock, an event, some good fortune, something entertaining perhaps? It's not *clearly* stated really, and the reason is people who do Polls ask a question but often guide the answer, almost never revealing that fact in the Poll data presentation. So was it 10% shock? 10% resignation to the fully expected reality? Was the shock a negative or positive shock? Did 90% think it was simply unthinkable, but 10% thought it had an outside chance? Without an open mind, polls are meaningless, and *with* an open mind, polls are meaningless 😄

English Heart There are conservative elites that have propped up Farage, some of them MPs but most industrialist types and bankers (many were present at Farage's party at the Ritz). I'd have more interest in supporting the attack on the elite if it was coming from a genuine place and wasn't just an attempt by a subsection of those people to grab power and influence.

English Heart The conservatives don't protect anyone but themselves. Their attempt to brand themselves the party of the people is borderline criminal. IMHO as long as the average man and woman identifies with the tories (which I believe is due to the weakness of the Labour party) there can be no positive social change for the country.

How often I see it...how profound the message...the dark haired woman at the edge chimes in with "I can relate to that" but she's ignored because the man next to SL has said something to him and no one ever has the notion that she had something to add to the conversation lbec? it's a man's world, still and all and we're just guest upon the fringes of social reality

Did you just ignore how the lady next to her spoke as much as the other guests bar SL? So you've proved it's a man's world because one lady didn't speak in a panel show? A bit of jump really.

I approached this with some trepidation, as the last time I listened to something Stew said he was on a podcast agreeing that 'black Republicans are a gimmick', which caused me to lose a significant degree of respect for someone I've always had great fondness for as a comedian and thinker. This was alright though, pretty straight down the line. Whether his actual show is quite balanced and more of an absurdist take on things rather than divisive I couldn't say. Maybe someone who's seen it can enlighten me.
