This has to be one of my favorite songs in the entire show. The harmony of “SILVER DOLLAAAARRR” hits so hard omg.

3:21 proof that Broadway was never really afraid to cast BIPOC in whatever role provided they had the talent and were right for the part.

Can you please upload the entire 1987 Australian/Japanese Tour? I’m Aussie and I wanna know how the film should go (I’m basing it off the Australian/Japanese version).

I’m very sorry, but I don’t have the entire Japan/Australia tour saved for upload. I’d only do clips if I did have it since full recordings of the whole show are usually destroyed by the copyright system, but at the moment I’m on hiatus from uploading anything since I received two copyright strikes for all of my clips from the Bochum show late last year. On top of that, any recording of the Jpn/Aus tour in existence have been kept strictly between the cast members and likely anyone that worked on the show, so very few people outside that group would have access to that particular recording. Sad to say I’m not on of those lucky few.

Does this replace the terrible ‘rap’ that features on the U.K. cast albums?
@CallMeRedon6 жыл бұрын
This replaced the rap on the 1984 album, but it was replaced on the 1992 rewrite album with the "new" rap and hasn't been used since.

Redon I find the raps excruciatingly bad, middle class white persons idea of rap. I often wonder whether the young performers themselves are embarrassed by having to sing them.

@@jordanjay5901 I kinda liked the original rap... it was catchy. The 1992 one was awful imo. The new rap they're using in Bochum is nice (or at least the 2014 one... idk if they revised it in their 30th anniversary production)
