When we had to do field strip on this rigle we had a guy with a stop watch on our side and it can be done in half a minute or less. The layout of parts is also controlled an has to mach the drawing of the layout in the manual. I totally remeber this and I guess I still can do this with closed eyes.... ;-)

@@swissgunstv7302 The Swiss army dosnt use the SIG 551, it uses the SIG553 LB, thats the one called Stgw04 or Commando Sturmgewehr

I know that this is a long stroke piston rifle but how does the piston move with the bcg when you are manually charging the rifle. What i observed from the field strip is that bcg and gas piston arent connected to each other and the recoil spring is attached to the gas piston. So how does the bolt carrier and gas piston move together when you are manually charging the rifle and what causes the bcg to move back to its home when you let go of the charging handle since there is no recoil spring at the back of the bcg to cause the bcg to go home when released. If somebody could explain me how this works it would be great. Also very nice and detailed video 👍

The SG 550 gas piston system works just like the AK's but with the recoil spring, like you stated, around the oprod of the system instead of behind the bolt carrier. Just like with the AK, the SG 550's bolt carrier and gas piston/oprod are all one piece but with the ability to be disconnected from one another. This disconnect is performed by simply removing the charging handle and the sliding the carrier rearward. The charging handle is the "lock" that holds the bolt carrier and the gas piston/oprod together. While not part of your question, the bolt of the SG 550 is actually a redesign of the AK bolt.

ну, по прицельной дальности калаш превосходит. Но по кучности стрельбы эта винтовка лучше и эстетически приятнее выглядит.

@@iskanderelakunov7329 она точнее в разы, на 300 метров сред отклонение 7 см родными патронами. Если не путаю. Очень прочная и надёжная, качество и так понятно. Я считаю что это лучший а мире ствол из тех что в массовом производстве
