Old consoles eventually grow in popularity again and I believe the DSi will have its turn. I LOVE GameBoy but there's only so many times I can keep playing those old games, as great as they are. I've just bought a DSi boxed in excellent condition and I'm really excited to play the DS catalogue. DS Lite is popular in the retro and modding communities but I believe people will start doing more with DSi 😊

I did this to my DSi around August of last year, as it was just sitting around not being used, after an update pretty much didn't allow me to use my flashcart. Now I'm able to use it again, as well as play romhacks and old games that I would've never had the chance to play, not only because Nintendo can't/won't distribute them, but also because of the rarity of some of them.

What'sTheSenseOfLife? Before you power on the ds, hold down a button to open unlaunch, then click on “no button” then select the app you want. Click on save & exit then restart the ds

HOW TO BOOT INTO NORMAL DSi SPLASH SCREEN AND HOME MENU: - Hold either *_A_* or *_START_* on startup (whichever gets you into the Unlaunch menu or the menu with the picture of the woman in the background). - In that menu, there should an *_"OPTIONS"_* selection near the top to set what the DS does on startup (AKA what to do for *_"No Button"_* ). Setting it to *_"HiyaCFW"_* should allow you to start up on the main DSi Home Screen. - If you want to start up with the DSi Splash Screen, hold *_SELECT_* on startup to open a HiyaCFW config screen. Once there, set *_"Splash:"_* to *_"Off(x)",_* *_"Dsi Splash/H&S screen"_* to *_"(x)"_* and *_"Autoboot title"_* to *_"( )"_*

@@No0Nameboii Twilight Menu doesn't have to be set to anything unless you want it to be. It immediatley becomes an app on your home screen, like Flipnote or DSi Sound, and can be accesed like any other app. If you want to replace Twilight Menu as your home screen on startup, simply follow the above steps, but set *_"No Button"_* to *_"Twilightmenu+"_* instead of *_"HiyaCFW"_* . *_"No Button"_* determines what the DSi does on startup when no buttons are being held, and can be set to any app you want.

@@No0Nameboii Unfortunately I am not quite sure how to help with this. Documentation about most of this is somewhat limited. As long as you don't go above 2 GB stored on your SD Card at any given time, you should have no problem using any size SD Card. Most games and programs the DSi can run have small file sizes, so as long as you are mindful you shouldn't have an issue. Depending on certain factors like the SD Card size and type, you may be able to use a larger SD card's full capacity, so long as you don't mind setting Twilight Menu as "No Button" and booting from it.

KA Media Ministry JAKARTA 3ds can play gba games flawlessly! Dsi does have the hardware but 3ds is able to access the hardware through a firmware mod! Hope this helps! This channel has everything you need to hack dsi/3ds! Hope this helps

Just a warning to everyone, Unlaunch *CAN* randomly uninstall itself and brick your DSi. Unless you've a backup NAND and know how to solder, you'll have to buy another one. I feel this is worth mentioning since sthetix didn't cover it, and there are cases of it happening online.

if you do not have one photo taken onto the sd card, it will not load the exploit when you select the SD card. Mine wouldn't execute it until i took a photo, then tried again.
