Θυμαμαι οταν πρωτοακουσα αυτο το τραγουδι, ποσο ανατριχιασα με τους στιχους και ποσο μου αρεσε η μελωδια. Παντα θεωρω οτι αυτο ειναι απο τα καλυτερα τραγουδια που εχω ακουσει σε ολοκληρη την Eurovision. Θερμους χαιρετισμους απο την αλλη Μεγαλονησο, την Κρητη.

I'm always saying this. After 95 I quit watching ESC because the best has already happened and could not be topped .. I kept on watching this contest on VHS for years because I was totally in love with this song but also the ones you listed were incredible. Even Slovenia (my country) - Darja Švajger did great too. Turkey too. It was the hardest year to compete.

How fabulous to see this again. I was lucky enough to be among the general public who attended the dress rehearsals for the Eurovision in 1995. Cyprus were incredible live, and along with Denmark and Sweden that year were my top three. I was so lucky to see them all in person do their thing on stage.

Τόσο δυναμικό, συγκλονιστικο και συνάμα μοναδικό κομμάτι, αναλλοίωτο στο χρόνο και πόσο σπουδαία ερμηνεία απ' αυτόν τον υπέροχο ΚΑΛΛΙΤΕΧΝΗ! Ακόμα σπουδαιότερο όμως να συναντάς αυτόν τον μεγάλο καλλιτέχνη και να σε αντιμετωπίζει όμορφα, ταπεινά, σαν άνθρωπος της διπλανής πόρτας. Συναντάς και άλλους "αγαπημένους" που πέρασαν από το διαγωνισμό και μάγεψαν, όμως η έπαρσή τους, τούς αφαιρεί μέρος της καλλιτεχνικής αξίας. @@Botafogoplayground For some years in the 70s they could sing in English as well, but then they went back to the native language rule. Remember both Sweden and The Netherlands won with a song in English and in 1976 there were songs in English as well.

nunovski20011 I disagree that it was a strong year. Norway and Spain had amazing songs, Cyprus, Greece, and Israel were also very good and perhaps some other sympathetic songs and strong voices. But we had many ballads and boring songs.
my fave Cypriot entry, but back then all countries had great songs. 91, 92,93,95,96 best eurovision years

i adore the production of this song so much, seriously it's so tense and never lets go (like a precursor to serbia and montenegro 2005 but in my humble opinion miles better). alex's voice was crystal clear too and time after time gives me chills. but even after this masterpiece of a song competed, how in the fuck did cyprus fail to win at least ONCE in the 90s? evridiki, hara and andreas, and alex are among my favoruite eurovision people ever!

This is a great , great song and how I wish all of today's Eurovision performers could deliver a song live like Alexandros Panayi. What a voice and so well in tune , no need for microphone tricks or autotune . Outstanding. 1995 was a strong year with many ballads , but this deserved higher points.

Both the Greek and Cypriot entries were laced with a lot of Greek pride. Therefore it's somewhat ironic that Greece only gave Cyprus 8 points.

a lot is to do with the Turkish invasion but nothing is being said clearly. Nothing to do with actually killing anyone, just for the human psyche to find the power to carry on... Greece never harmed anyone following its empire ages ago. Even the Romans adopted the 12-gods system when they enslaved them. Its not about being proud to be Greek, the human values embedded in their philosophy are now the basis of existence for humans in general (along with Hindi culture).
