From July 21st until the 31st 2024, our Culture Education Program Indonesia 2024, has been a remarkable journey filled with learning, fun, and the forging of unforgettable memories. This cultural trip has been a rich experience, where participants from the Netherlands and Indonesia came together like one big family. It feels as though a family that was once apart has now come back together, sharing in the joy of our heritage and traditions. The journey has been not only educational but also healing, allowing us to connect deeply with our Javanese roots and identity. From learning about Kejawen and its way of life to experiencing the intricate craftsmanship of gamelan instruments, each moment has been a step towards greater understanding and unity. The dedication and passion shown by everyone, especially during our performance on July 27th, have been truly inspiring. As we conclude this incredible journey, we are already looking forward to our next collaboration. The sense of community and shared purpose has been profound, reminding us of the Javanese saying, "Urip iku urup" - Life is about sharing your light with others. Thank you all for being part of this journey and making it so special.
