Nice! My 3 favorite all time drummers are Hal Blaine, Johnny Barbata, and Bobby Elliott of the Hollies....

No love for Dino Danelli? Just kidding. I've always liked Bobby Elliot also. A couple of my other top favorites are Garry Peterson and Doug Clifford.

That's exactly it. I'm not a drummer (I can't even walk and chew gum at the same time), but I always enjoyed watching Barbata's stick tricks.

There's a fantastic organization here in my home state, the All Ohio State Fair Band, and without delving to much into it's history, this stick trick has been done by the drumlines there for years upon years. And funnily enough, last year, the All Ohio State Fair Youth Choir, of which I am a member, performed Happy Together. It was one of our male feature pieces, super fun to sing.

Ed, I have been watching your videos for quite some time now and I must say that your playing style is second to none.Your Bobby Thompson grip is amazing to say the least. Lots of power in your strokes. I am learning to use that grip also.I have to mention also that I love your Rogers drums. I have a 1963/64 Rogers 5 piece red sparkle set that I got when I was in Jr.High School. Keep up the great work and thank you for your inspiration. One last comment........Your Valentines gift was great!!

Thank you Kyle. You just can't beat those vintage Rogers drums. Oh wait, yes you can beat on them (you know what I mean.)

Fab. Can you do the trick which Gene Krupa used to do which was to hold one stick on the sbare & do a roll on it with the other stick

Good job. On the Johnny video, he actually drops the stick and picks up a new stick without missing a beat. As good a drummer as he is, it bothers me, that he was not faithful to the Turtles and did not remain with the group. He could have written songs for them, as he does with his wife now. Many drummers write music and are the leaders of their group.

0:30 I heard 4 way street but I didn't know who the drummer was. Joey Covington was the second drummer in the Jefferson Airplane he was suing the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame because they didn't induct him I asked DJ Norm N. Night if he was suing you he laughed I told another DJ Bob Brainenen from FMU and he said do you know what Joey Covington looks like a burned out candle
