@mummycookshomemade The first time I made them. I left the dates whole, but there was a better balance of sweet to salty when I cut the dates in half. Just wrap enough bacon to go around the date with a little overlapping and put them in the oven until the bacon crisps up. 190-200C. Mmmmmmm. Good warm or cold.

That looks amazing Hailey. I actually bouggt a packet of dates a few weeks ago for the cupboard as I love dates with some blue cheese inside . So I'm.going to save them & make this. I must admit when I've tried to.make a roll in the past, it's nit been good! Let's just say it wasn't pretty & I wouldn't win star Baker on bake off. They were disasters , no other word for it. 😅 tasted nice but looked terrible !! But hey hoe I'm willing to try again. You made it look easy, & you being a great home cook you woukd say , or you would show us & tell us if it wasn't easy or it dodbt go.to plan. I did my roll from.watching a jsmie oliver programme, my hubby said well its telly, so might nit have turned out well on his attempt just clever editing! Think he was just being kind !! Mine was crap !!😅

haha I realldont like Jamie Olivers stuff tbh poncy and messed about with 🤣 this was my first like I said, u seen I only mixed it and threw it in the oven lol like u said if your using full dates you need to. blitz them hunni, it's in description box for ya anyway 👍😊

@@mummycookshomemade yeah I've made a few things if his but I've had to add things to them, they a bit bland & some are a bit tasteless for my liking. And sometimes I find he's not real with his portions, like 1 chicken thigh each!! What's that all about!, my hubby likes a few on his plate.

@karenpridmore7955 yea most people do, Steve usually has 3 skinless boneless,, portion sizes from dietitians etc wouldn't keep my family full for long so then they would be back for snacks, so they need to think what's better more dinner, or refilling on snacks xxxxx
