Here's an old raucous number from Ireland's coolest band (sorry U2)... Lots of these on-line, but thought I'd learn it and get it recorded.

Yeah, those are two of my favorites (obviously...). I do appreciate the positive comments. Living out here in the hinterlands w/o a band, it's not easy to "loosen up" and find your own way.

Great work. One of my fav SLF tunes and looks bags of fun play!

I love to hear that. SLF tear it up (in a good way, of course). Thanks for dropping by. BTW--Love your moniker. I'm a big Gandhi fan.

Love the comment on the SG... Thanks for the support.

Ha ha... Thanks for the kudos, man. Kinda hard to "rock out" while sitting down, but hey--it's what I was feeling at the moment. I guess ease of movement comes gradually over time with practice. Thanks for dropping by again.

Hey Soulagent... Thanks for the comments on the SG. I'm enjoying it, though it definitely has a longer neck/body combo than most guitars I've played (still love the Rics best). BTW: My RM 1997 with a finish flaw is getting a paisley paintjob. Some day when I get it back I'll post...

Never mind 'sorry U2' what about 'sorry The Undertones'!? Love a bit of SLF and that is one absolutely heart-breakingly beautiful SG. Good job mate!

Actually, mine's a CC2 also. No troubles with it, other than I burnt out the tubes one weekend by leaving on a trip but leaving the amp on... Replaced those with some really nice ones, and it's been just fine ever since. Major beast of an amp--heavy and loud/bright, I think.

Way to go Mod - Mr. Burns would not be disappointed.

Thanks for the compliment on the SG. I agree with you, and I'll spare you the dramatic take of how I ended up with it, despite the fact it showed up with a broken neck...

Sorry pressed post by accident. So as I was saying. It's busted and switched the rectifier ( common problem in those Von's ) and it works but no sound and standbys does not work. Maybe it's the power tubes but I'm not sure

I'd have to agree with the "fun to play" thing... Play hard, fast, and noisy as hell. Thanks for dropping by.

True on the sitting down but you're really laying into your guitar here and, like any good punk cover should be, the urgency in the music comes through your body language. I even dare say that the relaxed arm swinging around is very Weller-esque, by way of 'ol Pete of course. ;) Again, dig it.

Whoah, haven't checked into your vids for a while, modfather1965. Here I find the once-stiff psychologist with a guitar rocking the fuck out. Very nice.

SLF are actually British, not Irish. They're from Belfast, Northern Ireland... Which is one of the four countries that make up the United Kingdom. The Republic of Ireland, where U2 are from, is a separate sovereign country. ANYWAY... Wicked SG licks mate.
