Stihl 441 after porting and muffler mod. Full length with port discussion.

The 441 is case fed like the 362. 4 small ports around the cylinder extension are the choke point in the intake tract. I opened these ports as well as removed the divider in the intake boot and cut off unnecessary cylinder extension hindering flow. I used a West Coadt Universal port to get WAY more flow out the muffler. All in all its a huge improvement.

362 is a little different..intake air feed is above fuel feed..thanks for posting..gave me a starting point..aftermarket kit I got was pretty restricted so with only Lil grinding it'll give decent gains..but being it was given to me w blown out spark plug n I've never ran a 362 I don't have anything to compare..yours picked up nicely..

I did a 362 a couple months ago before I started videoing my saw stuff. It was a noticeable gain and I only did the lowers like this one. Very restricted design. Good luck with yours!

it's a huge improvement but I'd still rather have any other saw than a 441.

aren't the lower ports onto intake side just for air, the fuel mix goes through the top intake. why does smoothing them help?

The opposite, air on top, fuel in the bottom.

@@powersawtomfoolery6739 we must be misunderstanding each other. Fuel goes through the 1 big hole not the two little ones! Look where the carb Venturi leads
