great review mate, been mulling this one over the echo and husky alternatives - the battery ecosystem is a big commitment

If you want for power, durability and weight Husky is the way to go. If you want power, without caring much about weight then the Stihl is the way to go. The echo is good for entry to mid level professional grade with decent power but the earlier gen DPAS and DSRM weren't water proof rated. I like them all but I still prefer Husqvarna. And I've literally had every brand you can think of.

Stihl do make a battery belt to reduce the weight. Not sure if the balance will be the same or how well it goes in really thick grass without the battery to act as counterweight. As I was looking at one myself.
