Stihl GTA26 Cordless Pruner - Easy to use and very effective

The GTA 26 would make an ideal present for a keen gardener and I wish that I had one of these when we had our wood burner in our old house. Cutting branches up to 4" thick is a piece of cake. Battery life reduces as the number of thicker cuts increases. My only criticism is the very odd case supplied with the kit version.
I am grateful to Stihl for lending this demonstration tool to me.

Had one of these for over a year now after seeing professional tree surgeon removing all but largest branches from a medium sized tree/bush. They are very useful and can cut through a sizeable width of tree branch. After usage I always use Stihl spray superclean for both this and hedge trimmer. It’s pricey but lasts years

Yes the carry case, which is not a an actual box, is fairly pointless and I don't use it. Maybe the idea was to keep the price down but it's a waste of money anyway so they should have provided a decent rigid case.

I agree that the case is a poor concept and a waste of time but the tool is great and so very handy in the large garden. Cheers. Peter
