So disappointed in the STIHL MS271. I had this saw just over a year when I had problems with it. I took it back to where I purchased it. The Service center opened it up determined that it needed replaced under warranty. Upon submission STIHL USA turned it down as user error. I didn't run the saw without mixed gas, but that is what they claimed on the denial. I will never purchase from STIHL again. I loved the way this saw ran, but they don't stand behind their products.
The whole reason I bought STIHL in the first place was that I could get it serviced locally. Didn't matter in the end. To be clear I wasn't upset with the store I bought and took my chainsaw for service. They handled the whole situation correctly. Just STIHL sucks.
