Stihl MS 261C With 20 Inch Bar

Just cutting a log from my log pile useing my # Stihl MS261C Chainsaw.

Best power to weight ratio period. Most of us don’t need big saws. They are nice but it’s also nice to get the job done fast and be comfortable after have used a great tool. Live that saw!

Gosh dang I do love a 261! Best firewood saw ever in my opinion. After it’s broke in, put on a WCS muffler port then reset it. You won’t be disappointed! Take care Don!👍🏻

I have the same set MS261c with m-tronic and 20inch bar rollomatic 1.6 0.325 also changed original bar 16 inch 1.3 for 15 inch 1.3 Oregon speed cut(also Sugihara produce this type of bar, Stihl don't have 15 inch 0.325 1.3 only 1.6 for 15 inch), cause 16 bar is not comfortable for normal working, is too short for thick wood and too long for good use in short and middle wood. Best option is 15 inch for normal and 20 inch bar for thick wood.

Gosh dang that saw is slow! Definitely doesn’t like a 20” those are best with a 16-18”

Nice haven’t ran a 462 but love my 461! I have had 50cc saws and they’re just to slow for production work. 70cc is where it’s at imo.
