Stihl MS 361...No Start....Bad Ignition Module??? OR... Fly Wheel???

Great video, most common occurrence for me is just as you said, that little sparkplug spring attachment clip that is simply bayoneted into the high voltage wire. There has got to be a better design for that clip.

At about 2:49 into this video, you mention that the new ignition module is "...a 1306 and that's a 1300A, so, hopefully, this is all new and improved..." As we've been here a couple of times with our MS361, I'd like to know if the full part number you used to make the coil replacement was 1135-400-1306 (I never heard you mention the entire Stihl part number) and, if it was, I wanted to verify that you left it in the MS361 you were working on in the video? As I'm sure you know, the OEM 1135-400-1300 coil for this saw is very expensive, so having a suitable replacement part number simply makes finding a replacement easier for all of the MS361 owners out in Stihl world. Thank you for making this informative video.

I really need to look into the Amazon Thing, but the special tools come straight from my local Stihl Dealer. Your local dealer should be able to take care of you on most of them! Thanks for checking out the video!

What is the website you’re using for that information? Just took my 361 clutch cover off to clean it since it’s excessively leaking bar oil and it’s like sludge under there the sawdust and oil. Saw has been running just fine prior to this. Anywho I ran it without the bar at idle and maybe a few slight throttle revs just long enough to confirm oil was coming out of the slit to oil the bar, put the bar back on tightened the chain and now it won’t fire up at all. I checked for spark which it does have, I didn’t check compression with a gauge but it feels like it has good compression I can hold the saw by the pull rope and it pretty much stays still without dropping. Now the newest thing I’ve seen with it when the saw is inverted fuel drips out by the chain brake/muffler area. Any insight will help. I’d like to get my hands on that troubleshooting flow chart. Thanks.
