What a lovely calming demeanour you have, thanks for sharing. A quick tip, to properly break in a chainsaw, it needs full rpm’s under load (full length bar cuts). This forces the rings out against the cylinder walls and seats them. Gentle part throttle will not achieve this. We think we are being kind to a saw varying the throttle but these don’t have a mid circuit for fuel delivery. It’s either on or off :) part throttle leads to lack of fuel and lubrication and we all know what happens when not enough oil gets to an engine :)

Great saw and good video. I bought a MS660 new in 2009. I keep a 36” bar on it since new. I have the Australian dual port muffler and high output oil pump. It’s been a beast that I use only when I need a big saw. I’m a firewood weekend warrior and don’t turn down big trees that were blow downs or standing dead. I find that I can’t handle it as long as I used to be able to, seems the saw gets heavier. Lol

I own a Stihl ms661 stihl 462 stihl 261 and stihl 201t best saws I feel like in my opinion on the market sure can take the abuse. I have put these saws through about everything I can think of professional use running 10 - 12 hours a day awsome saws. You right once again you really get what you pay for quality not quantity

Well I love your chainsaws! I just happen to get two of them just like them. A MS362c and a MS 661 mag. So yes they are very nice. But and please don't get me wrong I'm not a Karen, but I didn't see any hard hat or wedges and something to bang them in with just in case. There is one thing I know for sure, you never leave a Dutchman on your face cut. A feller should take time and clean it out. I don't mean to offend, just help.

@@AskDaddyjoe There's so much to say about this video. I'll be direct because I want you to be safe. 1) The tree came down. Bonus. 2) No one died or got injured. Bonus. 3) For resource recovery it is perhaps a good idea to do an under-cut / Humboldt / Smiley Face cut. Practice it. 4) Your 2 cuts need to meet with no over-cut's. No Dutchman's. A clean Vee-notch is needed to help direct the tree and prevent hold-ups and hang-ups like we saw here. A clean Vee-cut also stops barber-chair's and hence it's dangerous. This is a safety issue. 5) Always take time to do a safety assessment and clear an escape path free of tripping hazards. 6) Don't over-tighten your chain. It only needs to sit against the rails and not be pulled in tight - Being even a ;little too tight means extra wear and slower performance. 7) When you do your tree assessment and safety assessment you must keep looking up. Look UP and Live. In everything you do you must look up often and throughout the entire process from assessing to falling. 8) As the other gent said, Get a helmet, visor, ear muffs. You only have one head - USE IT and protect it. LOOK UP AND LIVE. When cutting and wedging you need to look up every couple of seconds. Don't become a statistic. Don't be the guy on YT who got injured or killed. 9) Get some recognised training and certification in chainsaws. I thought I knew about chainsaw use and safety before I started training. How wrong I was !!! You'll be safer and it'll be more enjoyable for you. 10) Look up and live. Say it 10 times and do it all day. I wish you good health and prosperity.
