Piece of rubber pond liner or a leftover piece of rubber roofing and a box with your four side’s out of 2x10’s and you are basically making a little swimming pool!!! If you lay your round disk in your little pool of water and give it two years it’ll dry out from the inside out… then you can pour the oil on it and it’ll not crack on you… it’s very rapid because the tree is basically like 10,000 straws standing there… when you take your horizontal slabs those ends will crack because of that straw’s like structure of the wood… your round’s for tables is the hardest not to crank… when we cut a big cypress tree like that in Florida we would just put those rounds into the pond and let them stabilize and start drying in the water.,. That’s why those logs they pull up out of the Swanee River that are a hundred or two years old are all beautiful wood!!!

Is it just my imagination or was that 880 only making dust, on the first go-around.

No matter how big the machine you always seem to need the next bigger one. Nothing wrong with a little cheating as long as you don't get in the bight.
