Thanks Mark, yes definitely cheap, I would say, it's a long term investment and with the backpack battery, you would probably be using it with other stihl tools as well, which would make it more cost effective. 🙂👍

Height of cut only down to 25mm and the lag on turning were the reasons I never bought one. It is a good mower but needs work for me. Good review mate.

Thanks Ben, the mono handed really is strong and very useful in respect of emptying the grass bag, putting it back on, stihl are pretty fair with me, so no worries. 🙂👍

Good review. A question: How does it behave, when it runs into too much grass or molehill and stops, if that ever happened? I find with my own battery Stiga, I'm "punished" with a 30-60 second wait period, where it must cool down or whatever it's doing, before I can start it again. It's incredibly annoying, when cutting long wet grass.

Good review I'm about to launch myself on the poor people of Northern Ireland a might town with big lawns. How often did u charge the mover how many days work did u get out of it is she pricey. Regards nick

I only charged the battery once per day, as I don't mower all day, it's often 1 or 2 large lawns and board work as well in each garden, it's not a cheap mower, but obviously if you going battery, you can also use the battery as a backpack battery too. Good luck with the lawns 👍👍

Good review. I find the cutting height of stihl mowers aren't low enough for uk gardens. Etesia and Stihl are known for good collection but thats mostly because they don't cut short allowing for better airflow.

Thanks Brian, I'm on sandy soil, so I don't tend to cut low generally, as 2 days of sun it's going brown lol, but yes it's not low enough for some. 🙂👍

It's is a very different looking mower, not the normal 4 wheel mower, but the design works great, it's approx 25 inch cut 👍

Thanks silke, glad you enjoy them 😀. Charge time, I can only guess as never timed, but maybe 2 hours ish. Run time, again I never took any time notes, as I was more work in my head on square meters per Charge, bagging the grass, 3100sm was definitely achieved 👌 🙂👍

Hi mate. Thanks for the review I try to keep up with your videos when I can. I stepped into the world of battery operated machines using ego mid summer due to a lot of my past best petrol gear having issues. I took my time and chose ego over stihl partly due to price but also the claim that ego batteries last longer. I kept the petrol mowers as the majority of my time is spent on the lawns. I’ve bought various sizes of battery including the back pack for the multi tool The battery for that cost around 1k alone I use the click in batteries- 5 and 4 amp for short jobs for tidying when mowing. These will only last a couple jobs when on the road and have to go to the back pack for strimming, edging and blowing etc. It’s a fair weight though. The charging times are quite a lot and generally have to be on as soon as I step in the door to be ready for the morning. How did you find it with the stihl battery? Did you keep a back up petrol mower in case?

Thanks mate. Interesting your experience with ego, I read so many different stories on it and confused to how good or bad it is, so good to read your experience with it. Honestly I never carry back up petrol/2 stroke machines, I don't mower all day every day, as I have very varied job daily, but all powered by battery, apart from (backpack blower) I do have a spare charger in van, so can charge on site if I need it, but that's not very often, but it's a opinion I have, iv nee timed it, but I'm charging ap battery's around 20 - 30 minutes ish. 👍👍

Cheers mate, because my plan for this year onwards, is to focus all my efforts on only large gardens, which most (not all) Iv passed the grass on, so i can concentrate on beds boarders hedges, i just don't have the time to do everything. Hope the weather have held the up to much 👍👍

Biggest problem is the price here in ireland there not cheap even a timemaster is now 2100 euro
