Both are good saws, I've used both and would rather have the sharp version of either saw then the blunt version of any saw, no matter how good the company says it is. With proper maintainance and care...both will last a life time.

I owned a Husqvarna 394xp, and a Stihl 066 Magnum. The Stihl consistently bogged down where the Husq powered right through like a piranha on caffeine. Even after breaking both saws in well and running them over the course of a year, the Stihl just couldn't keep up. The Stihl is a 95cc, the Husq 394xp is 95cc. I sold the Stihl and kept the Husqvarna. I only buy Husqs these days, as the Stihl just couldn't keep up consistently in the long haul. I don't care much about the name, I buy what works.

Looks like the Stihl has a dull chain, look at all the dust instead of chips coming from it. Both great tools though! :)

The guy running the husq is dangerous. I don't mind putting my face so close to the bar as he did to the stihl guy (and my PPE is just eyes and ears) but he brought the bar that close to the face. If I was the stihl guy I wouldn't have waved him off I'd have walked away and refuse to work with the husq guy.

Dull chain vs sharp chain? You can tell by the way the stihl is cutting, it needs a good proper sharpening

It's not just that the stihl got beat, but it's the margin it was beaten by that tells me the chain was dull. I use stihl, but from the videos I have seen, the 395 is a little faster than the 66o, but not that much.

395 xp este cea mai mare ...am avut una . De 10 ani mergea la fel de bine ca in prima zi. Compresia era la fel,popa de ulei chiar daca mergea cu ulei ars,baga la fel de bine, 10 ani de functionare excelenta in ciuda faptului ca au taiat toti drujbarii prin toate padurile olteniei cu ea. Pana cand mi-au furat-o !

Best all round 90cc is the MS660 (good weight, and with dual port muffler it holds it own.) Best all round 70cc is the 372xp (weighing 13.4 pounds at Power Head, and it cuts faster then 441 with same chain. I know my father has a 441) Best all round 50cc is the cs-500p Echo( Shindaiwa design) My most used saw. I've also ran a friend of mines 390xp...good weight...if you wanted one saw to meet needs of 70-90cc that is definitely the one. The Dolmar 7900 is good weight but performance lacks.

Stihl has dull chain, making fine powder. husky has sharp chain, making nice size shavings.

p.s. I own both Stihl and Husky saws and I think they are both good manufactures. Just if you are doing a vs. video give it a level playing field. eg. Both new, with comparable specks. eg. engine displacement, chain tooth size, etc.

It takes a 2095 jonsered turbo to beat the 395 xp, nothing else. Unless you happen to have an 090 laying around...

I like Husqvarna more than Stihl but this video was a joke! If we are going to be fair both saws need a sharp chain... I have had cutting races with people before, after chain sharpness comes how good are you with the saw. I had a race with a friend that had a 57cc stihl against my 56.5cc 455 Husqvarna. I beat him so bad that he bought a new chain just for a re-race I still smoked him. But then I lost a race to my dad who was using my 42cc Husqvarna! All saws had sharp chains my Dad is just the best operator of us all plain and simple. That older fella was running saws from bigg to small before I was even thought of.

I don't get why they are comparing a 460 to a 395. It's like comparing a Chevy 2500 to a Ford F-150. Obviously the Husky was going to win. Needed to use a 660 mag and then it would have been an even comparison. Also, it is quite obvious that the chain on the stihl was about as sharp as a butter knife

Husqvarna is made of many plastics ...while stihl has few pieces of plastic ,and the important ones like oil resevor is made of alluminium ...stihl has more endurance

Why did you purchase a 455 for work? I imagine you didn't break in the 3120 smoothly enough (rich, oily, and not winding it out). I run Stihl and Husqvarna. There are good and bad models of each, though my favorite saw is a little bitty Echo!

This is just like the Ford, Chevy, Dodge debate, no matter which you buy you are going to get a great truck. It is all user preference. The Stihl dealer has a repair shop just the same as a Husky dealer.

stihl MS440 : 70,7 cc 5,4 hp VS husqvarna 395xp : 93,6 cc 7 hp Both are good saws but only the 440 is the legend and will outlast any saw it's put against. ....and this comes from a guy who owns both stihl and husqvarna

Argue all you want about which is best. The best saw is the one that is best sized for you and the work you intend to do. The more money you spend = the higher quality in this industry. All saws are "good", but there are quality differences in all lines. Most people don't know that Husqvarna owns Poulan as well. I love Husky, but you can't give me a Poulan, except as a boat anchor. Dolmar = Excellent Stihl = Excellent Husqvarna = Excellent Jonsered = Excellent

Die Kette der Stihl war total stumpf und produziert nur Sägemehl, während die Husqvarna richtig schöne Flocken schmeißt. Wenn man die sägen jetzt noch hören würde, könnte man feststellen das die Stihl wesentlich höher Dreht als die Husqvarna, weil die Kette nur übers Material rutscht.Die Stihl mit einer scharfen Kette währe bestimmt genausogut gewesen.

Huskvarna wins at all aspects, more power, better air intake, and better vibration dampeners. I had a Stihl 440 for 3/4 of a year and the crank shaft broke in half last one I will ever own.
