i think when Scott said it’s different now he meant that now Lydia also loves him. in the beginning it was just a crush stiles had, but now they’re both in love with each other. i really wish we got more stydia in season six, but you can tell.

Stiles and Malia weren’t inlove.. they only said that they “liked” eachother. Malia only got as far as “i like you alot, Stiles” they never said I love you because... they didn’t love eachother in that way. Stiles always loved Lydia, she just didn’t love him back until super late.. but honestly I dont really blame her with all the supernatural stuff going on and being a banshee. How do you even have time to think about how much you love your bestfriend until you almost lose them to ghost riders??

Relationship-wise I prefer Stydia. Otherwise, I like her for other reasons. She has moments when she adds depth and comedy to the show. Stiles will always be the better comedian, but Malia is the best representation of "fish-out-of-water" syndrome on the show. She still can't quite do things the same way that others can.

Don’t get me wrong stiles dating malia was cute, but stydia is forever. Not Malia, not anyone can change that. They have a connection, an emotional tether, something no supernatural thing can beat. They feel safe in each other arms, he had a 10 year plan and it worked in 9-10, they belong together. They fought to get to each other, they love each other. Her memories of him were stronger to remember than Scott’s, Scott is stiles best friend and if someone’s love can save stiles more than Scott’s that’s powerful. He literally dreamed of Lydia helping him through a nightmare. Stiles and Lydia are the perfect match, that one kiss, the kiss that helped him breathe made her realize, she loves him.

I am not gonna lie there my favorite ship I meam come on and if u actually kinda pay attention not saying no one does so please don't hate me lol but if u notice Stiles never said I love u to Malia but whither lydia he has he told scott he was in love with her and then in season 6 he tells her that alone for me kinda made it seem like he has always been in love with her and yah she lydia never really did anything about it but at the time she was with Jackson then Adien and then he got with Malia so she probably thought he loved her u know? And then when he was taken that's when she knew and I have watched shows that are like that sometimes people try to hide there feelings and they always try to tell them there not real but when they lose them that's when they regret it in a way 😅
