Stalia could never be platonic, I think you’re getting confused with Stydia😅 Stiles and Lydia have major sibling energy, they’re basically the same person which is so weird to have in a relationship, cos who wants to date an exact copy of themselves? Stiles and Malia have a perfect balance of similiarities (ie highlighter scene) and differences (he’s the brains, she’s the brawn). Plus their dynamic is so natural, Malia’s naturally more dominant so Stiles can fully embrace being his natural cinammon roll, little spoon self, they are just naturally so compatible. Whereas with Lydia it seems like he has to change, like she only accepts her “feelings” for him after he saves her from Eichen House. Lydia just seems like she’s always been drawn to more “tough” men, who can be like protectors, so it’s just so weird and awkward seeing her with Stiles.
