Yeah, cause the thing is, the only real memories he has of his own mother, she was already suffering from the dementia. Anything else he was too young to really hold on to. So the only 'mom' he ever really knew was Melissa, Claudia while he loved her, was unable to be 'present' for him because of her illness.

The thanks mom moments was really memorable, sweet and loved by all the fans, because we know how Melissa felt about Stiles, she cared about all along on some level, of course, but he's a mischievous, manipulative little trouble maker! "No Stiles!" 😠she said at one point to Scott as if she's forbidding him from a video game. 😆Stiles was like "No Stiles?" 😧Then she said it again. hahaha

omfg this is so freaking amazing and flawless and I'm sobbing rn!! ICA that good parent/child relationships are rare and that guardian/child of best friend is even rarer because it's so true but tw did both extremely well!! I loved the relationship these two had so badly!! that's why I wish that sheriff stilinski and m.elissa got together but regardless they still managed to do this relationship beautifully!! I cry Everytime stiles says "thanks, mom" it's just so amazing but heartbreaking at the same time!! btw, videos of these two are so rare so I hope you make another one someday lol this is freaking amazing and flawless though!!
