Have SRK and the compact both are great but the c is a good edc.

I totally agree. Personally, when I'm in the Outdoors, Fishing, I like to carry, on my person, a nice and dependable Fixed Blade that's capable of a variety of tasks and chores. But, it isn't too heavy and bulky. So, I find myself gravitating towards the 4 to 6 inch Blade, Fixed Blade Knives. And, the 5" Blade, Fixed Blades are the ones that seem to work best, usually, for the ones I like to carry the most. :-) And, this SRK-C is a Star, in my opinion, in this Category; I absolutely luv the Cold Steel SRK-C! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)

Right on uddo! I absolutely luv these Cold Steel SRK Fixed Blades. I think they're an awesome value. I especially luv the New SRK-C. It's an awesome size and weight to easily carry. And, it has a Saber Ground 5" Blade. You can get them in either Japanese SK5 or US CPM-3V. And, in my opinion, their prices at MidwayUSA.com, are real good deals.
