First time viewing you're channel, and what a start. The tools used to, everything is done probably how it was back then, apart from the ppi metre and recorder, even the stairs just blew me away. This is real living, one with nature. I doubt you could even put a price on that bow, how could you!!! Absolutely amazing how youre precision with a hatchet is just nothing I've seen before. Imagine going into a tournament with that, and no doubt hitting on point. Honestly the whole process just had me,...amazing craftsmanship..Absolutely subbing to this channel, as I'm learning archery the videos that pop up are often just about form etc, this is special, never seen nothing quite like this.

Everything about the bow is fantastic! That flex!! The tendon sinew looked like it was from a very large animal -- which is why it's about a 75lb bow. About 215 fps is astounding for a bow that size. Looks like an excellent hunting bow! Very well done. Thanks for sharing (an excellent blend of ancient and modern bow craftsmanship)

Very beautiful work. Having made about 80 bows of various types, self bows, backed and laminated bows and all bamboo bows, the one that I never got to was a horn bow unfortunately. What amazes me it making a balanced , tillered bow without shaving the belly as you do with a self bow. I did that a few times making bamboo back a belly bows. Not easy and a real learning experience. Well done.

Not whirring of a bandsaw nor a howl of a planer. Just the sound of the bowsaw the thunk thunk of a small hand adze and the sound of a file working away. This is a genuine hand-made item. The end summed it perfectly. There is no youtube style of annoying electric guitar in the background. Just a nightingale singing.

Ibrahim was very proud with the origin and capabilities of the ottoman horn bow and actually he made a shot with his bow on 900yards behind the Buckingham palace in the company of the king of England. Anyway I am not so sure that Ibrahim will be proud with that particular bow because it's made by Bulgarian. Ibrahim does not like Bulgarians very much.

Using the incorporation of sinew on bows of all kinds had became an art craft over the millennia of time, and the same can be said for the shellac based glue he created from the oils of the meal, … and yep, not something one could whittle from a single tree branch, over night, … the concept of using the “left overs” of animal meals, and finding uses for the remnants, is an indelible part of mankind’s past, … I do understand these days at the tender age of 69 years the how, & why, it took mankind so long to climb up the evolutionary ladder to where we are today, … but the old ways need not be forgotten, because the more we advance with the knowledge of those ways, the more human-like we yet become, perhaps there will one day be a use for the shellacking of the sinew based materials into the helmets, shields, or these types of materials to protect mankind, in space, … I know some may spoof, or act like haters, but hey, if it works as intended, who cares? Right?

This kind of work requires strong nerves and great patience which few people have today!!! They are fooling around with some Asian meditation in their luxurious homes, and they have no patience for their children either!!! This is a real exercise of psyche and patience, and a real workout for the nerves!!! Greetings from Serbia 🇷🇸 from a similar craftsman!!!
