Stilks is a good loyal mate and I am eternally grateful to him for introducing me to my wife Sophie, who I have been with for 28 years. Back in the day, if Stilks was on the door of whatever pub/club you were drinking in, you knew that you were safe. Troublemakers didn't last long - Thanks for many good memories Stilks.

I'm 5'8 & I worked the doors in Blackpool, including the Tower Lounge, very successfully(I never got killed or have life changing injuries), I was head doorman on a lot of places, travelled the country working all the shite places & a great many of the best, my mate Vern(7'2) & me were threatened the most, I can't fight for shit, but lucky for me 99% of those that fought me, were even worse, I jacked in 94 & successfully studied for a Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, it's a little odd because you do miss it sometimes.

I'm 5'9" and, in the early '90s, worked on the door at The Lifeboat on Foxhall Road and (now sadly gone) The Star on the south shore promenade when Barry Eastwood ran it. My ex wife brought her new screw one night, who was head doorman at the Bier Keller, to fill me in, and she had my two young sons in the car to watch who was in charge. His parting shot was "I'm gonna get my mates onto you!" 😂😂😂😂

My grandad taught many lads and girls judo and catch wrestleing back in his day and in his prime as an 8th dan judoka and master wrestling champ and coach ,no body on them doors would even try to take him on...thing is they all knew him anyway 😂 and quickly moved with a nod of the head as they said hi "name" and then they felt safe lol! My grandad made 5 bouncers feel safe but also feel like they where kids again infront of their dad's 😂 he had that effect on you! He dedicated his life to judo and submission/catch wrestleing . He once dropped infront of me on the mats and before i could blink i was rolled and thrown over him as he put his feet on my chest as he was on his back grinning and i went fllying over and heard a crack in my shoulder 😂 , i slowly got up and my grandad was low key laughing 😂 and said come on take me down! 8th dan ! Hell nah grandad i never stood a chance! R.i.p grandad! He died jan 4th this year...

It was quite Disgusting really what they got up to...All on works time, it was great if you saw your favourite bouncer on the door, that made your night...Oh the good times to look back on... watching this video brought back some really Great time's and Laugh's..🙏🙏🙏😸😻🥰❤️🇬🇧🕊️🍒
