They literally copy pasted the skill of Pitaya, made it worse and put it on a magic candy. Like you said, it would've been easier if they just overhauled her skill. I was really hoping sea fairy’s buff would improve her damage and her overall because after watching your live it shows how it’s super hard to upgrade crystal jams (materials and success rate) and how unless you spend a lot of money she doesn’t change much and still isn’t up to par with some other legendaries

i think sea is in the situation just like glitter cookie. In the first phase, the cookie seems to be not good enough to play in the arena, but in the second phase, new cookie will help fix the case.

i think the big problem is that they didn't buff her base skill all that much. so while the enhanced skill is pretty good... the basic skill still sucks. and since you have to use the basic skill... well you can see the problem. however that rally effect is very good and with the addition of more water cookies it'll probably get more useful--especially if captain caviar or sorbet get a candy.

Caviar is still used in the arena and sorbet will likely get a mc next update (like all other old cookies who have been put in hall of encounter), so I definitely think the rally effect is gonna be busted in the second season of this arena phase.

I think Sea Fairy's Crystal Jam will make her a bit like Black Lemonade but more on the aoe side. If used with the right cookies, (Peppermint, Black Pearl, etc.) She could be a game changer.

Honestly, I wished they held back from releasing Sea Farty’s Crystal Jam. They should’ve experimented first with Bp and then see how well it does before releasing a second one. Wish they made it like how they made fq crystal jam. Devsisters, plz buff sea fairy again. Even just reducing her cd can help out a bit (but she does need more of a buff that this).

Shes not bad, its just that we were expecting more. And i do think she will find success especially since that lvl 30 jam sounds extremely busted. But we are still barely 24 hours into the update. Maybe more testing will show if she can be used in arena. Perhaps using a full dmg resist build could work. But i have no doubt that lvl 30 jam is extremely good, and might work well with shinning glitter to get rid of snapdragons shields

Caviar might work well, since he's also water type, and is already pretty powerful even without the rally effect. Also I think the trials expect you to upgrade sf's crystal jam as you go further, so make sure you do that.

It’s honestly disappointing, SF buff ins’t bad but despite the resources that’ll cost u to lvl her crystal jam to reach her high potential is a lot and that could honestly take awhile to find which comp SF would fit in. Overall I think SF buff is long term progression if u do want invest in her but for me it’s not my forte as a f2p player especially that I would have to use my legendary essence.

Honestly i have mixed feelings. But im still trying to find a team. So far a team ive got is: Hollyberry: 5 solid almond focusing cd and dmg resist Black Pearl: 4 swift chocolate 1 juicy apple jelly, focusing cd and damage resist and a little extra crit Sea fairy: 5 searing raspberry focusing dmg resist and cooldown Parfait: 5 swift chocolate focusing dmg resist and cd at least 20% Peppermint: 2 solid almond 3 swift chocolate focusing damage resist and cooldown Sea fairy will be the leader for the extra water type dmg bonus

I think they did a terrible mistake by giving her the jam without giving her any solid buff. While I like the idea of leader effect, allowing you to chose one legendary to give everyone powerful buff, something like this bases heavily on the idea that all legendaries are on the same level in terms of power and usefulness. Sea fairy is terribly outdated, and not just her skill but also her stats, she is too frail when compared to so many DPS that have ability to dodge or heal themselves. Stun is resisted everywhere, so this is also a thing. Lets say in theory that Sea fairy jam let her give bonus damage to water, Frost Queen jam give bonus damage to ice, and Pure Vanila would buff light DPS. This means that if in the future you will get some good water-based cookies, you will be unable to make water-team because Sea Fairy is so weak and frail. It doom water comp from the start. Even if you get very good water cookies, they will not be used, because other comps will be far better due to leaders being way stronger. If they want to go this direction, they need to make all leaders as close in terms of power and usefulness as possible. They can no longer go current direction where each new introduced cookie/legendary is far stronger than the previous one.

There's no need for jams or candies (also including wildberry) for them to work better. Waste of effort if they trying to do this and the fact that they did this to the legendaries ( jams things) they would probably explore more with other legendaries, which is too much.
