"Still Here" is very lore heavy. It is basically about Death with a capital D. Death is the lamb and wolf pair in the end, lamb is the bow user and wolf is obviously wolf, they are named Kindred. Their duo portrays the duality of death, wolf is the violent death, struggle trying to escape it, while lamb is the peacful, quick end of acceptance. The first fight is the past. Kayle (white angle) and Morgana (black angle) they were the aspects of justice There is more to unpack here but not enough text area for the relationship between the 2. They are fighting against the Darkin (god warrior corrupted) Aatrox, the being is the sword that took over a mortal body and reshaped it with bloody magic, hence the synergy with sword heart. Morgana sacrifices part of her power to restrain him so Kayle finishes it. Lamb appears in the flames when they consume Aatrox, you see Lamb cause wolf is consuming the host in the form of flames (Aatrox does not die only the host) and oviously a violent death, cause blood magic kept the host alive forcefully. Second is the future. Old Yasuo, he saves a village from most likely raiders who either appaer due to an other Noxus invasion or just bad guys I am not sure about that part. It is pretty straightforward from there, he saves the woman and the baby and finishes the ppl there but they send a lot of arrows his way, he knows he is finished and accepts death. You see wolf in the tree line. He accepts death so Lamb's arrow finishes him. The final is basically the present. It is Tryndamere fighting. In short, they are in tribal war. In the begining you see soldiers encircling him, then we get to see him fight Kindred. The second part is basically all in his head. His rage and innate blood magic basically keeps him alive on deaths door. Kindred tries to end him as obviously he should be dead, but because of said powers he can fight back. Kindred is neutral tho so when his wife, Ashe appears saving him Kindred leaves him as from that point onward he is no longer on deaths door. Kindrad can't take his life.

while "A new Dawn" is really just a show of of the characters and their abilities- simulating the usual 5vs5 game, "Still here" is very lore accurate and honestly, without knowing that, you miss half the good implications and art/cinematic choices here - everything is placed for a reason there and it is just fantastic. League has a pattern where it takes 3 events into one cinematic to tell the story. In this case they went even further in artistic choice - the overall topic is "still here - prevailing against death (=lamb and wolf, which you can spot in all three events!)". The first setting is the past, the second with yasuo is a possible future and the third is the present with Ashe rescuing her husband Tryndamere from the wintersclaw tribe (when she rescues him, kindred(lamb and wolf), the concept of death, vanishes since his life is not in danger anymore. I highly recommend to watch the lore explaining video on this cinematic. I love all the expressions alone that convey so much already - especially at the end and of course we see a lot of abilities here too - everything avcoding to the ingame mechanics :) I think Necrit explains them as well.

Very quick summery of the "Still Here" cinematic: 1st fight - Takes place in the past, depicts the winged twin sisters Kayle and Morgana defending Demacia from an invasion led by Aatrox (a corrupted god-warrior known as a Darkin). 2nd fight - Takes place in the future, depicts a very old version of Yasuo protecting a village (without killing anyone), and ultimately letting himself die in the end. This is presumably a "vision" being given to present Yasuo. 3rd fight - Takes place in the present-ish, depicts the barbarian leader Tryndamere defending himself from Kindred (she's essentially the grim reaper, a metaphor for death). In reality, he was actually fighting off soldiers, and he was fatally wounded (hence why Kindred is trying to claim him), however he is "cursed" with the ability to heal fatal wounds, making him undying. The woman archer in the end is his spouse, Ashe, the War Mother. Some stuff you can read into that are very related to this cinematic: - Darkin (what Aatrox is, will explain why his sword has a pulse) - The relationship between Kayle and Morgana (will involve Aatrox) - The relationship between Tryndamere and Ashe (will involve Aatrox) - Kindred Another content creator known as "Necrit" also makes videos explaining all of the lore, and what's going on in cinematics like these. He's a good source for learning about League's universe, and his videos aren't too long (so they won't be like a 20 part Warhammer series, just quick explanations of lore).

Ok, so for the "Still Here" cinematic, the whole thing centers around a being called "Kindred" who is the personification of death in the League of Legends universe (like the grim reaper). It's a dual being. The "Lamb" and the "Wolf". When they come for you, you either accept the Lamb's arrow and get a peaceful death, or you rage against it and die a nasty / violent death from the wolf. With that in mind, the first sequence in the cinematic is Morgana (More-Gah-Nuh) and Kayle (like the green leafy shit Kale), twin sisters whose mother was the Aspect of Justice, and gave them each half of her sword to fight the Darken (kinda like a demons). This particular one they fight is named Aatrox (Eh-Trocks). His sword pulses like that because where the Darken actually resides is within the sword, and when someone picks up the sword, they are corrupted into the thing we see the sisters fighting. In the game we always see Morgana and Kayle how they are now, whereas this video is them way in the past before the both accepted who they really are. Morgana accepts the "darkness" (for lack of a better explanation) of humanity and Kayle becomes the new Aspect of Justice forsaking all humanity within her entirely and becoming very cold and inhuman. That's why you see her smirk / give Morgana a condescending look as she walks by. She's disgusted with "what she's becoming". You'll also notice that neither the lamb or wolf are present in this fight because even though the body Aatrox corrupted died in the fire, Aatrox himself doesn't die, because he's inside the sword, which is indestructible, hence, he's immortal. For the second sequence, the character's name is Yasuo (Ya-Sue-Oh). He's a very popular character who actually has his own mini movie that they made about him that's fucking beautiful, but the gist is he's like a samurai who's spent his whole life fighting and has special wind powers which are so unique that at one point in his life he was framed for killing his master because someone used something that made it look like he did it, and was chased down by his brother and they fought and he ended up killing his brother in self defense. Anyway, this sequence is a vision given to him of one of his possible futures. In this particular one, he's given up on his path and stopped using his wind powers entirely at first, and eventually realizes he *needs* them if he wants to be able to save these people, so he starts using them again, but you'll notice there's no blood anywhere, and that's because he refuses to actually kill anymore, and so instead he uses the wind to knock people out, not kill them. Then at the end, he sees a literal *wall* of arrows coming at him, and decides that he's saved all the people in the village, so he's no longer needed, and closes his eyes, apparently accepting his death, but they've purposely left it open, because that's what Yasuo often does. He closes his eyes to center himself before he acts (like earlier in the cinematic where he split the arrow in half), so it could be he's accepting his death, and that white arrow represents the Lamb's sweet release of death, or if you look closely you'll also notice that in the background the Wolf lurks, waiting for Yasuo to try to resist, so it can attack him and "take his life" violently. Then in the last sequence, the guy with the big sword is Tryndamere (Trin-Duh-Meer) and his special power is that he has a supernatural rage that is so powerful, he literally can't die, no matter what (for a short amount of time), and so you see him fighting the Wolf, but the cool thing is that he isn't really fighting the Wolf or the Lamb, he's *actually* fighting all the people that surrounded him in the very beginning of the video, it's just that we're seeing the fight *conceptually* as him "fighting off death" (AKA the Lamb and the Wolf) and at first the Lamb is confused because who is this man that isn't dying when they come to claim him and accepts neither the sweet release of death nor dies to the violence of the wolf? Nobody has ever done that before, and all of a sudden the Lamb lowers their bow because they realize it isn't his time to die. His wife Ashe (Ash) has come to save his life and fight by his side, and as she arrives, we fade back to reality as his rage dissipates (we see this physically as his eyes go from red, back to their normal color), because this woman he initially married for political reasons but then ended up falling in love with for real has come to save his life and fight by his side. She is the literal definition of a true ride or die and it's just......*chef's kiss*

But if you don't wanna watch it here is a really quick version. That sword pulse guy scene is in the past and he is literally corrupted godslayer that is bound to the sword and his body is just someone possessed by him. The old samurai guy scene is literally future (of possibly his last fight before dying) of one of the characters that has his own cinematic explaining a bit about him and his past. The wolf and a lamb with a bow characters are literally the grim reaper and a guy fighting them has in-game ability to be too angry to die so that entire fight is just a metaphor for him refusing to die. And the woman that saves him at the end is his wife and one of the warmothers of the northern tribes.

Yas girl! No reactor ever mentioned Aatrox's sword (the actual guy) pulsating, and yes, art is so vast! I already liked you a lot, but after the hiatus period I kinda forgot why, now I see it back :)
