I haven't been to all the hubs in Sg but i think you are lucky to live near OTH...it is the best and most convenient one stop place for almost everything. It is also a eco hub with great sustainability measures put in e.g. food compost, donate your plastics, save the pens etc initiatives. Your observation of Sg through your daily life shows that you are very open minded and shows appreciation. Your attenpt to integrate into Sg lifestyle is also the way to go. Some people have lived in Sg for many years and still don't know much about Sg, only complaining and comparing.

Irene, have you ever wondered where Sgrens go to before these sports hubs appeared? Well, it was Orchard Road. To shop, to jalan-jalan, makan-makan, cinema or just plain walking around. Then Orchard got too crowded with pple and cars and so the city planners (yes, Sg has both a Master Plan and Concept Plan for the island's development) decided to decentralised such activities. That's when housing estates became "regional hubs" each major HDB town having such amenities of their own. A town center where shops and hawker center are, town council and HDB offices, a stadium, a swimming pool, a library, a cinemaetc. You can easily see such a template in Bedok New Town , Tampines New Town, Clementi (Town) etc . Afterwards, to really move shoppers and the "spending/hangabout" crowd away from Orchard Rd, malls were encouraged to be set up, housing popular brands and eateries. Now each major HDB town has a mall. No, even a small estate such as Sembawang has a mall. It's become de factor, such as in the new but small estate Canberra East. Another reason is Sg weather is warm and humid and Sgrens like being in aircon!! The latest sports hub is in Sembawang. So naturally, from old town centers, disparate amenities and malls, the evolution to a Sports Hub is not that unthinkable. Instead of running from one place to do whatever, putting all of them under one roof makes sense. It's also more manageable, estate management-wise. I won't be surprised if the next progression is to include a police station or community center to such a Hub. I've always appreciated Sg's excellent library service. And the Nat Library branch at Tampines Hub is par excellent! Not only do they have a wide range of books (check out the cookery section) they have workshop rooms (e.g. you want to conduct a cooking class) to let out. There was even once a lab to learn 3-D printing free of charge. How sweet is that?

There is bowling center in basement. Laser tag on 3rd floor. The big screen will show live soccer matches on weekend nights. There is also a fee paying cinema. And an unmanned 24-hr Cheers (no employee at all, you go in grab your items pay yourself and leave). Not all area have such fully integrated complex. Bedok Heartbeat has sports and restaurants too but not as complete as Tampines Hub...

以前響Simei住果陣，最鍾意一起坐20號巴士去Tampines Hub玩，又有得食，有可以上去樓上既戲院睇戲。果時撞正Grab有coupons送，好多時試過搭5毫子的士去玩，買埋送去埋銀行再返屋企。響Tampines Hub再行過少少就去到Tampines Bus Interchange, 去全國既巴士都有。另外一個節目係去Cash Converter尋寶同埋去Tampines Mall地庫買糯米雞同韓國嘢。

Also bowling alley in Basement, sheltered Basketball Courts, BBQ pits along indoor jogging tracks, toddler playground ... free Yoga, Zumba, Dancercise classes weekdays, eldercare, childcare ... Still the best Town Tub in Singapore. I also use it regularly last time. HDB will be upgrading old HDB towns to this new Town Hub concept. I think maybe upcoming Punggol Sports Hub/Punggol One in 2024/25 will be better. It has river sports: kayaking/canoeing ... HDB has announced they will upgrade Toa Payoh also to new design concept: New sports centre, polyclinic, library and town park in Toa Payoh to be ready by 2030.. 👍👍😁😁💚💚👍👍The design concept: It is a place for whole family from toddler to old folks.

榜鹅也有一个类似Tampines Hub功能的建筑, One Punggol, 旁边还有一座Punggol SAFRA . 从榜鹅地铁站转搭往西的轻轨只需一个站能能抵达, 交通十分方便。

OTH個圖書館裡面仲有一個懷舊展館 p.s. Guardian其實同萬寧同屬牛奶公司，所以我都會視兩者為同一公司 (正如日本之家就係日本城)

OTH is opened 24hrs. you find many students studying during examination period. NTUC is opened 24 hrs too. I seldom frequent OTH nowadays. previously, I would be there over the weekends watching ether movies or soccer match till 3-4am in the morning. Also watch some of the latest movies then, screen there some 5-6 months after they were taken down from the cinema.

Just visited Tampines Hub after watching your video. The mall does have everything and less crowded comparing to the malls by Tampines Station. Unfortunately, the Hawker Centre there was close when I was there around 2ish and ended up having lunch in the mall basement food court. Still, great suggestion.

I am quite a novice in the using of Singpass. In fact I got phobia using it. Used to experience problems in passwords and also type of browsers you used. Now it is easier for me. Downloading singpass via the QR code greatly facilitated the access. But I still seldom access. Maybe nothing much left to see in there
