Richard, I watched every minute and then ran to my easel. I took note of the left hand. Controlled by the right brain. The speech centers are avoided in the expression/impression of reality. When the speech centers of the left hemisphere become involved deliberately or unconsciously, the art is gone. It becomes a pipe in other words as the Man once said.

👋Hi Richard, nice to see you back so soon. I like this creation, I think it brings back the glimpse of the "good old" days, although those things have not yet reached such a lofty age. But the painting gives you the impression of a certain ancientness of the individual components, wistful memories blow at you; my father also owned such a heavy and therefore very resilient workbench with vice and other useful utensils; I miss it🙂 You've excellently rendered the sturdy wood in fine tones including light and shadow areas, and the red tin cup goes wonderfully with the warm brown hues and darker areas of the background. Also always grateful for the in-depth explanations. Excellently done, Richard ! Thank you very much, and have a great weekend.❤

People unfortunately seem to focus on the differences between all of us. We're all more alike than we know. If I go out to my old barn here in Upstate, NY (NOT, New York City), with the exception of the names, brands of tools, and different types of spiders, we have virtually the same building. 😊🙂 Awesome subject, great work as always! Thanks for taking us along!!!

Hi Richard. The roundness of the cup and the sharp edges of the vice is so interesting as well as the contrast between dark and light, warm and cool! Adding the strands of cobweb, wow! I don't know how I discovered your work of art, I just know as I was ĺooking for something I came across this video, and it immediately caught my attention. So much that I forgot all about what I was looking for originally 😂. Anyway, I adore the Rusric atmosphere of that old shed and you knew exactly how to convey it and all it's glory to us. Such joy to watch your work in progress and to follow along with you as you gave us the tour of your shed. Thank you for remindimg us that old, dusty and even full of cobwebs there's "still life"and beauty in everything. Best regards from Nevada, U.S. of A.🫡😉

I forgot to mention that I really believed that a spider 🕷 was going to crawl out of that saddle during it's close up, and how ironic that the hands of times were missing.😂. Done intentionally perhaps? I also had to laugh at myself when I realized that thing in your shirt pocket wasn't a critter but a mic. Hahaha 😂❤
