Guys as an Yve player it is important that the first core item you build is enchanted talisman. Her strength is not her damage but how much she can spam her first skill and second skill. Don't worry about not having ice queen wand as the first core item just make sure to spam poke the enemy until they pop their flicker or sprint. If they go back to base, then you win your lane but if they decide to stay to defend, then go for the kill make sure to place her second skill correctly and place the ult on top of it to double the slow.

Her popularity starts to decrease since heroes like akai & ling are currently on the meta, these 2 heroes pretty much don't take much effects from slow and they can also easily dodge, if not, cancel her ult. I wouldnt say shes a bad mage, but her problem is there is a LOT of hero that can easily counter her, so she needs someone to cover for her so she can use her ult safely. (Btw im a yve user, shes one of the heroes that i use to push to mythic rank and now i hope i can reach mythical glory on time)

For anyome who wants to play yve, remember that her ulti has the same cd if canceled manually. This means full stacks will still be the same, unless you get cc'd. Thus, if you uded your ulti and there are no more battles, just slide and put slow around you just for some extra protection

I feel like Yve is comp dependent because how she doesn't burst well, and given your randoms, sometimes even good positioning and decisions isn't enough. Edit: small tip I forgot, place your 2nd in front of you before you ult, the crystal gives vision towards the edges. Try roam Gloo if you can, I fell in love with this and no one uses him on top of it which is beautiful.
