They need to make a wider camera angle for veer and shoot because I can’t throw any quick passes besides that I need help for 4-2-5 personnel

Trying to run a Spread Offense and a 3-4 Multiple Defense. The offense I’m getting used to be the defense seems to work half the time. I have a good secondary, the linebackers are okay at best and the d-line doesn’t get pressure

@KJ_OnceAgain For any defense the key is to be somewhat patient. Use your shells to mask your coverage and wait for the offense to make a mistake. For the 3-4 you can mix up which of the LBs is coming for pressure. Unless your corners are stupid good don't play a lot of man without safety over the top. On defense you're rarely going to win a drive in one play, but it's easy to lose it in one play I'd you are aggressive.

The other day my cousin was complaining about his pass defense. I looked at his recruiting board and he was going after THREE slot corners just because they were the highest ranked. You REALLY have to recruit for your scheme. If you like running nickel, recruit one slot and combo of zone/man for the outside corners depending on what you run. I use a lot of zone so I recruit zone corners on the outside but will try to keep at least one solid man cover corner.

Heisman is the only way to go. Blowing CPU out by 2 TD’s or better. Like you said DM you need to know football which most people don’t. The 335 is only optimal when you have big and fast players and your secondary must be elite definitely fast.

Speaking of SMU that's who I decided on their rebuild is really fun and has a lot of realism I loved in the portal. After Preston Stone finished his two years of helping make us recruit better nationally DJ Lagway hit the portal to be our next QB which was a dog fight with TCU. And Texas lost both WRs Bond & Golden after a bad year but due to location Golden had interest in us and we landed him. Those are moves that would happen in real life and it was fun to see.

You're definitly right. A big issue for me is that I don't know football. What I do know however is that every sport becomes much more entertaining when you learn the nuances. Like I didn't even know what a pistol formation meant

As European my knowledge is a bit less then the average American players and I have the most problems with the defensive plays. I use often the coach suggestions but it's not always the right way to do . Standard It's 4-3 with my favorite team Notre Dame . Offensive I go most over the ground because passing is not my strongest point. In Madden it works well but with CFB 25 the pressure on the QB is much bigger. And I play on varsity level but it's tough enough.

Running a 4-2-5 right now with ecu. But want to run a 3-3-5. What I find weird though is they say you must be fast on your front 6. But if you look at any team running a 3-3-5 in reality the front 3 are big guys that absorb blocks for the linebackers. So not sure if the games assessment is completely accurate when it comes to the front 3

@@Dmgaming5 Thank you. good to know my thoughts were on the right track. Right now I don’t have the personnel for 3-3-5 because I have more finesse rushers/edges and they are better than my slower interior linemen (power rushers and run stoppers). Hoping to convert to a 3-3-5 by year 3 when I recruit the right players.

@14bface well if you run the regular 3-3-5 you can use the speed rushers on the outside I use the 335 tire which doesn’t position the ends for a rush they used to stop inside run and force it outside

I'm rebuilding Temple using the Spreqd offense. Just here to brag on how I beat 2OU in my dynasty the other day my team 16Temple 64-62 in 3OT that game was so crazy going back and forth. I can definitely say this game was worth the 11 year wait never played a game with so much adrenaline rushing through my veins lol. It's super competitive I actually got beat by Michigan the previous year in the CFP (blown out) definitely the best NCAA Football to be released in my opinion. My defense does what it can when it can and it don't bother me because in real life most of these teams defenses are trash with a few star players. You literally just need to get a few stops when you really need them just like in real life.

Madden has the scheme fit page which tells you what personnel you need for a scheme. CFB should’ve copied that from Madden. Would be helpful for the casuals.

I agree however In madden it’s just for show aside from a player maybe not wanting to play on that scheme in cfb it truly affects how you play

So, glad you brought this up. One of the great things about Madden is it tells you who to play at each position in each scheme; and was disappointed this didn’t. I have been running Spread but dipping in to Veer & Shoot. On defense been doing 4-3 or 3-4 Multiple depending on if I have deeper DT or MLB. But would like to try 4-2-5 but not clear who the 5th DB is and who the 2 LB’s are?

I’m running with LSU and I’ve never seen so many blown coverages in man and zone in my life. My DB’s just go brain dead while the WR’s streaks down the field. The pursuit angles are absolutely terrible 😤

I believe USF has more read/triple options cuz there QB has at least a 85-87 speed but I do hear you regarding the true designed QB runs

My biggest problem with veer and shoot is the camera angle. Yes you can pull it back. But then I dislike the angle. I throw a good bit of picks just because I can't see the WR on the outside.

I’ve gotten better at it with the standard camera but I agree. If I run rpo it’s mostly to the boundary since the files is out of view now matter what you do

I see that you still have running into kicker penalty on. Man my D was running into the kickers every fg and punt 😂. The rushers just don't take a good path. I had to turn that off.

Whaddup D. I'm having fun with the gm but c'mon man. How you going undefeated and winning the Natty in yr 1 or 2 when it was suppose to be hard to do that so soon. SMU is good but not that good and Big 12 got some beats in there. I know u got skills but for how hard they said it was gonna be...that's way too easy

@gamerd8709 I'd be hard pressed to call them cheese plays. They are in the game because they are valid college football plays. I am 53. I haven't played a College Football game since about 2009. Never played Madden. I was actually a Zelda or Mario type with a Sniper Elite mixed in. So you can see I prefer slower paced games. I chose Coastal Carolina and I am 7-3. Started 1-3. Once I watched a few of DM Gaming's videos and another couple of videos on defense, I started playing better. Granted only on Varsity, but if you play and learn, you can get better. And you can better believe, when I need a sure play, I am using what I know will get me a first down.

SMU isn’t a scrub team for one. Also I went 9-4 my first year. My second year success is casue I got some doggs from the portal. Also they never said you couldn’t win a natty they said it’s hard to build a program which it is. In my third year I’ve yet to even sign a 5 star so expect in that same level of success with like a kennesaw state won’t happen

I been having more success with run and shoot. I also use the stacked wr plays but not the wide formation like the veer. I also run alot of wildcat and my offense has improved by alot. I switch things up depending on what team I'm playing and the defense I see. I just need to tighten up my defense

Setting it to empty can help, and if they look to overload shifting to that side helps. I have a good line, so I my advice is skewed right now.

Have to recruit faster CB's and better defensive linemen! Did have RJ Harvey and running back of the year with 1600 + yards rushing! On of my Corners was Defective player of the year and second best offense yards in the country at UCF

check my last comment, pick a mac team to build dynasty with. not a good team like smu, where you can do cheese plays all day. your playing on all american and ran cheese plays to win the natty with a very good team. weak.

Well if it's fun for him it's not weak. You're right though, playing as MAC team would be a different challenge.
