I actually liked the cut of Carabajals jib. Only a tiny bit more footspeed, so she didn't have to reach and overbalance with the right hand so often, and could successfully stepback counter more often, and she'd be a tough ask.

Karen Carabajal is a tough boxer as she was in the ring with a great and still standing as the results were read, great fight definitely will watch Carabajal's next fight. I want to see Katie Taylor against Clarissa Shields but that means Taylor needs to vacate and move up but a great sacrifice to a great fight and then give Serrano a rematch at middle or light.

The commentators are incredibly biased, both fighters did very well, and it was very close throughout, caption rounds 1-5 Taylor had only landed 5 more punches yet the commentary had Taylor clearly hitting her opponent at will. Really poor commentary(and I mean shockingly biased). Well done to both girls, great fight, they should be very proud of themselves.

It was bizarre... "In the presence of one of the greatest sportswomen of all time!" They went from bluster and hyperbole straight to histrionics! Its like they thought they could actually influence the judges with their bias... because to be honest (and I know this wont be popular here) Taylor didnt win this fight by much, if at all, on my scorecard.

Look up her 2009 fight with Caroline Barry in the O2 in Dublin, that fight alone was one of the factors that convinced the Olympic committee to allow women to compete in the 2012 Olympics in Boxing. It also paved the way for Katie to win Gold and do everything else she has done for the sport. I would simply say do more research my friend.

Katie T, 3 advice. When you landed left hook, you are there she's there, y to stop? Continue land cross and other combos. Now long reach single technique, beware counter will follow. Remember your escape route. Lastly there's no pause in 10 rounds of boxing. Make your fight full of action. She will act with your every feint. So keep feinting, even if you don't react, she will get tired. Isn't it?

It wasn't a mismatch. Its difficult to find rounds for Carabajal (I found 2), but she was competitive in most of them. Taylor had to work hard.

If you call constantly retreating and, at times, outright running away from your opponent while you do no real damage of your own and wiff on a bunch of punches the announcers exclaim you landed with the punishing power of Ernie Shavers... then yeah, she looked like a worldbeater if thats your criteria for success.
